Northcote Manor

This is our second time staying at Northcote Manor. Both times we've had a really lovely experience. We loved relaxing around the Spa and sitting outside and admiring the views. The dinner was top notch, the service was impeccable. We just felt so peaceful and relaxed the whole time. The staff definitely make you feel welcome and like nothing is too much trouble.

The welcome we received was delightful- they remembered us from our last visit! Everything about Northcote is of 5 star quality from the wonderful friendly staff, the food which is truly amazing - such choices and beautifully cooked and presented, the cosy, comfortable rooms to the beautiful tranquil surroundings. À visit to the spa is a must ànd I was pampered by Emily to a wonderful pedicure. We can’t thank the staff enough for giving us ‘a BIG HUG’ of à welcome. It’s like visiting welcoming ‘family’ members as the team are like one big, happy family, many of whom have been there for many years. À big thank you for giving us a wonderful, restorative break. À special thank you to Simon for all his kindness. See you again we hope!

Very good service and high standard of food however the place is starting to look a little tired around the edges now. It could really do with a refurb to bring it to it's full potential.

Seventh time back to this wonderful gem of a hotel - a true home from home. A peaceful relaxing setting and ambience - excellent staff - friendly and engaged. Our suite was excellent and comfortable. The food was fantastic - not just at dinner but breakfast too. The staff there are excellent - not just the hospitality team but the housekeeping team too. Many thanks to Richie, Simon, Mitchell and their stellar team. We will be back again soon

This was our fifth stay and I'm so glad that I chose it for my big birthday and our friend's wedding anniversary. Everything was as wonderful as our previous visits, espec as we upgraded to suites as a special treat. Cream tea on the lawn on arrival, and then late lunch there on our second day was so relaxing and enjoyable. The evening meals were outstanding too, and care given over our dietary issues and an allergy. The spa is lovely, but so sad to see corroded handles and steam room light, plus tiles missing from the seating for an otherwise fantastic new-ish facility. The manufacturers should be taken to task! We really enjoyed our days out to Barnstaple (heritage trail) and RHS Rosemoor too. Thank you to all the staff for making our long weekend so enjoyable.

Lovely country hotel the food was absolutely outstanding and very reasonably priced. The spa is really nice very clean and the treatments are amazing. A special thank you goes to Katy who did the most relaxing facial and body massage and to Holly who did a fantastic foot and leg massage. I highly recommend booking the Spa I have come back after 2 days feeling totally relaxed and refreshed.

Another lovely mini break at this gem of a quiet retreat. Great to see Richie, Simon and the team again. Lovely meals of course and a few new options on the menu which were superb. Add in a bit of spa time and it’s a perfect way to spend a weekend and a very special birthday treat for our daughter. Thanks. Looking forward to returning!

We had a wonderful stay at Northcote Manor last weekend and it was so special to be back again after our wedding, this time to celebrate my mum’s birthday. It was the perfect excuse for a lovely escape. As always, the staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was relaxed yet attentive throughout our stay. The food was outstanding on both evenings – truly memorable and one of the highlights of the trip. We also really appreciated being able to have our dog with us in the conservatory, which made the experience even more enjoyable and stress-free. Thank you to the whole team for another great stay. We’re already looking forward to revisiting again soon.

Our fourth visit to Northcote Manor and it never disappoints. The first time we had been able to make use of the spa and it was all lovely. I had a couple of treatments with Louise in the spa and it was honestly the best massage I have ever had. The staff in the hotel are lovely too - it always feels welcoming and cosy, but with delicious food and wines. Breakfast is great too with a lovely healthy range of hot and cold options. We can't wait to come back! Thank you very much to Elsa, Simon and the team of staff that looked after us and my elderly mother-in-law last week. It is a very special place.
