South Palms Resort and Spa Panglao - MGallery Collection

This hotel is extremely convenient and comfortable to stay at. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by a stunning sunset and the evening lighting ritual. The air was filled with the sweet fragrance of plumeria, creating a wonderfully gentle and romantic nighttime atmosphere. The room is equipped with plenty of clothes hangers, a pegboard wall, and there are even drying racks outside by the pool. Since islands have little temperature variation and breeze, clothes are notoriously hard to dry. Out of the three hotels I stayed at, this one is by far the most convenient for drying laundry. The food options were also the most abundant among the three hotels, though still not quite comparable to what you get back in China. On the beach, there are cabana daybeds and swings. The sand is white, fine, and soft, but unfortunately, there was a lot of seaweed along the shore, making it impossible to go swimming in the sea. I was so happy with the pool access room! The All-Day Breakfast ordered to the room was delicious and offered great value for money. I will definitely stay here again next time.

When I arrived in Bohol, I first stayed at Henann Premier Coast. There were a lot of Korean guests. The service was quite good, but overall, it wasn't as great as South Palms—even though Henann is right near Alona Beach and the location is genuinely convenient. The main drawback of South Palms is that it's a bit remote; taking a cab to the commercial area costs around 60–100 PHP each time. However, the environment is wonderful, the pool is great, and overall, I was very satisfied.

Service: Fantastic! Full marks! Every single staff member was warm and polite, greeting us with eye contact, a hand over the heart, and a bow with a smile. The electric buggy service was available 24/7 on call. We had to check out at 5:00 AM, and the hotel even prepared takeaway breakfast for us at the front desk. The pool staff were also very proactive and enthusiastic in bringing us clean towels. Thumbs up! Cleanliness: No major issues. However, when we checked in, the welcome card on the table still had the previous guest's name on it. It seems the housekeeping missed it, which made us too afraid to touch the nearby snacks—we weren't even sure if they were left behind by the previous guest. Facilities: The major facilities are well-developed, featuring various swimming pools and restaurants. However, the food is way too expensive—at least four or five times the prices outside the hotel—and the taste was just average. Another downside is that a resort in this price range didn't even provide children's toothbrushes or slippers. Location: You still need to take a taxi to get to the night market center. It's a flat rate of 200 pesos for a tuk-tuk. Overall, I would still highly recommend staying here. It's probably the best hotel in Bohol.

This is a very new hotel with excellent facilities. The service was exceptionally warm and friendly; almost everyone greeted us, which I appreciated the most. The breakfast was tasty, offering rice noodles and ice cream, and you could even go horseback riding. The beach was just okay, with many sea urchins and starfish.

The hotel is quite new, and everything from the rooms and public facilities to the overall environment is exceptionally well-maintained, making for a very comfortable stay. It even has its own private beach, and the entire resort is so spacious that even during peak season, it never feels crowded at all. It truly has a wonderful holiday vibe 🌴 However, what we loved even more than the facilities was the service. Every single staff member here is incredibly friendly and energetic, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy their work. From the front desk and restaurant staff to the lifeguards by the pool, everyone greeted us proactively whenever they saw us. These small details really added a lot to our experience 🥳

The environment is very comfortable with great views. The breakfast offers a rich variety of food, and the local specialties are delicious. The room design is also excellent, and the pool is absolutely beautiful. The mermaid show at 6 PM is a unique experience. I really liked the gym too!

The hotel environment is generally quiet and elegant, perfect for a relaxing vacation. The hotel has only been open for a year, so the facilities are new and well-equipped. The direct pool access from the rooms is a fantastic design, and there's a rich selection of entertainment and fitness equipment.
