Lagune Barra Hotel

It is located conveniently at the conference venue - riocentro. However it is very far from downtown or other tourist attractions area (40min at leash or more). Restaurants, shopping mall and grocery shops are quite a distance from here. (Need to take a cab or uber) The reception place and room are clean, security guards are at the entrance at all time, making you feel safe. The only downside and could be potentially improve is the breakfast - lack of variety. We ate the same food for the whole week, some people decided to skip it because it is without variety. I would suggest also hotel to set up some water dispensing area maybe at the lobby or the restaurant area. The room didn’t include any free water bottle. They have a minibar in the room with snacks and soft drinks which are chargeable. 14th floor view is nice, has one nice and clean simple gym. (May consider add on yoga mat , some stretching bands and some bars for pull up training) Swimming pool is a bit small, open only after 9am, it is quite hard if you want to get a dip before going to the conference. Otherzise the staffs are friendly and helpful. Thank you

Great hotel - the breakfast was excellent the staff went above and beyond. The landscaping and plants etc is really beautiful - wanted to mention that.
