Adex Inn

登别温泉街 is a very short street and the hotel is perfectly located in the middle of it, with option to go to the opposite onsen which cleans to be the biggest in Japan. Generally, this is a wrpect 2D1N location which I would have spend longer the next time I ever visit here again,

We loved how you got free access to the big onsen across the road which was one of the biggest we’ve ever been to with many different types of pools and even a waterfall one to massage your shoulders and back. The bakery in the lobby was superb, and we jumped on their 3 pastries for ¥1100 sale in the late afternoon. Also we liked how the room at ample seating space (with a bench against the window and a chair), and the pillows were the best we’ve had in two weeks of traveling. Our main issue was that while the room and facilities were spotless, we’ve marked it down on cleanliness because of the smell. At first we thought it was the sulphur/hot spring smell, but later concluded it is more likely a plumbing/sewage issue in the bathroom. It was quite strong and made it difficult to sleep. If we had stayed longer, I would have tried to change the room. There is also wide gaps under the door (about an inch) which lets in light from the hallway.

The location was perfect! It’s just a 10-min walk to the Hell valley and the bear park. The hotel itself is modern with all necessary amenities. Good view from the window, nice bakery on the hall. The staff were responsive, friendly and polite and helped us with booking’s date changing. The hotel has its own onsen pool and access to public onsen in other hotel.

The hotel is sister hotel to dai-ichi takimotokan so u can use their facilities for free too. We top up another 800 yen for 2 pax to upgrade our breakfast buffet at dai-Ichi takimotokan, great experience with adex inn!!!!

The staff there was very nice and passionate. They can speak a little english which is good for english speake
