Ichirino Kogen Hotel Roan

I was very satisfied with my stay. Although it was a bit far to get to, once I arrived, I found the facilities to be quite new (especially after learning it's over a century old, run by the same family for three generations). A ********* staff member, a lovely older sister, was incredibly helpful, sharing many details about the history and ingredients. The best part was how uncrowded it was; only three groups were staying in the huge inn (likely why the public bath was closed and private baths were offered instead), which felt like a huge bonus. I booked the two-meal plan, and every meal was a delightful surprise, leaving me very happy and content. As a little bonus, there was a welcoming LOVOT robot!

The food was so delicious!! I'd love to stay here again! There were way too many stink bugs, lol. Everyone was so nice and it was fun. Thank you so much (^^)

Although this hotel has some history, the stay experience is surprisingly surprising, perfect for those of you who are looking for a peaceful place to get away from the hustle and bustle. First of all, although the hotel is located in the ski resort, the peak season will be more lively, low season is relatively quiet, but suitable for wanting to enjoy the quiet atmosphere, the hotel is old building, traditional Japanese style, wooden structure plus the atmosphere of the fire, really have a feeling of the countryside. It is kept very clean and does not feel dirty at all. The most praised is the hot spring, with private open air and large bath, some snow scenery of Hakusan City plus a warm soup pool, is simply a fantastic experience. The hotel also has a rock bath and an indoor soldier ball table, which is enough to bring children, and there is also a children's menu that children will not get bored. In terms of food, every meal is very surprising to see, fresh ingredients, especially fresh shiitake products are the most profound; the restaurant atmosphere is relaxed, the staff will also introduce every ingredient. The most courteous is the waiter from Taiwan, communication is completely stress-free, the atmosphere is friendly and courteous. Moreover, the entire hotel also has a robot cat as a butler, perfect for cat lovers. Be aware that because the hotel environment is more natural, there will be more bugs on the mountain, but every time there is a presence the staff is very happy to help clean up, very attentive. In terms of transportation, the location of the hotel is not particularly convenient. It is best to arrange a shuttle or car rental in advance, otherwise it will be more expensive. If you come to ski in advance, it is best, but during non-peak season, you have to accept the situation where the surroundings are quieter or there are not many activities. In terms of attractions, across the street is the ski resort, which is great for playing in the snow in winter; Booking tip: During peak season holidays and winter skiing are the most popular, make sure to book early.
