My stay at the Oxford Hotel was actually the result of a booking mistake—and it turned out to be a wonderful stroke of luck.
I had accidentally reserved a room at a nearby 2-star hotel. When I tried to book a room there on Memorial Day weekend, they quoted an outrageously high rate—more than twice the price of the Oxford Hotel. Instead, I decided to give the Oxford a try, and I couldn't have been happier.
From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was impressed. A professionally dressed concierge warmly welcomed me, and I was even offered a complimentary beverage while checking in. The level of hospitality immediately made me feel valued as a guest.
The room was immaculate and beautifully appointed. Everything—from the bed linens and towels to the amenities—felt luxurious and thoughtfully selected. I especially appreciated the welcome chocolates, plush bathrobes, and comfortable slippers. Every detail reflected a commitment to quality and guest comfort.
What impressed me most was that despite the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend, the Oxford Hotel maintained fair pricing rather than taking advantage of travelers. Receiving this level of service, comfort, and luxury at a price lower than the nearby budget hotel felt almost unbelievable.
The location is another major advantage, situated right in the heart of downtown Bend and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and attractions.
