Everything about this hotel is beautiful, simply perfect! The facilities, breakfast, and the captivating sea view are incredibly relaxing. I wish I could have extended my stay there longer.

Honestly, the location is great, close to the beach, and the prices are quite good during the off-season. There's a shuttle bus for going up and down the hill; just call them. The breakfast is really good and they change up the dishes. The sea-view room with a balcony is nice, and the kids loved the clean pool. There's also a children's play room, and the room itself is spacious. The only downside is that taxis are a bit expensive, but if you're young, walking is very convenient, and so is taking a motorbike.

It's a good hotel, but unfortunately, it doesn't live up to its advertised 5-star rating. The shower temperature is erratic, going from cold to scalding hot. The air conditioning unit is very dirty; it doesn't seem to be cleaned often, if ever. I actually got sick because of it. Otherwise, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the pool is beautiful.

1. After taking the airport bus to Patong, we had to walk to the hotel from the nearest stop, which involved pulling our luggage uphill. I'd recommend taking a taxi instead. 2. The hotel's location is excellent; it's convenient for getting everywhere. Most importantly, the room views are absolutely stunning and well worth the price. 3. The hotel breakfast is varied and abundant, with different options every day, making for a very pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend staying here. I'd read some reviews mentioning small bugs, drainage issues, and air conditioning problems, but I think those are likely isolated incidents. The only thing to be aware of is that check-in can be a bit slow, and there's no air conditioning at the front desk, so standing around waiting can be a bit uncomfortable.

Overall, the service at Diamond Cliff Resort is average. The hotel is located on a hill, so getting between the lobby and guest rooms requires waiting for the hotel shuttle to transport luggage, which usually takes about 30 minutes. The front desk area also lacks air conditioning, making it feel quite stuffy. The highlights are the excellent breakfast quality and the satisfactory guest room environment and facilities.

Let's start with the positives: 1. The hotel offers Chinese-speaking staff. The lady at the front desk who spoke Chinese was very pretty and had an excellent service attitude. 2. The hotel rooms are quite spacious. We booked a sea-view room, but to actually see the sea, you had to lean out sideways from the balcony. 3. The restaurant food was decent, just alright. 4. We received a fruit voucher, which could be exchanged for 1 kg of fruit at the fruit shop across from the hotel lobby. The lady at the fruit shop was also very nice! 5. The pool was good, too. My child continued playing there even after we checked out. There were very few Chinese guests at this hotel; on the day I visited, I only encountered a middle-aged Chinese couple at breakfast. Now for the downsides: 1. The room wasn't very clean. There were hairs on the pillowcases and stains on the sheets. We had brought our own bedding, so we didn't bother asking the hotel to change them. 2. Near the balcony, there was a door in the room (I'm not sure what it was for) that could be opened. Inside was another door leading to an adjacent room. I blocked this door with a table and chair at night. 3. While playing with my child by the pool, I scanned a QR code, entered my room number and name, and ordered a watermelon juice. The waiter brought it and asked for a physical signature confirmation, which was fine. However, a few minutes later, another waiter came to reconfirm my room number and name. I told them again, and they left. Then, after a little while, an older female waitress approached me with a tablet, asking me to enter my name to search for the room number myself. I tried both my name and my child's name, but neither retrieved the room number. Throughout this process, the waitress kept looking at me with an expression like she'd caught a thief; her attitude and eyes were very unfriendly and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I even showed her my room card, and she just pouted and walked away. I immediately called the front desk and explained the situation to the Chinese-speaking lady. I then handed the phone to that waitress. After they communicated, her attitude completely changed, but she didn't apologize for her previous behavior. Considering it was around 630 RMB during the rainy season, this room wasn't cheap! Even though the Chinese-speaking lady was lovely and enthusiastic, I won't choose this hotel again.
