Hotel28 Myeongdong

The hotel is super close to the subway, and the room is very large and spacious. The front desk staff are also very friendly. It happened to be the hotel's 10th anniversary, so they even gave us a small cake. The mini bar was refilled daily, and staying at the hotel also came with exclusive discounts at nearby shops. I think it was definitely worth the price! The only downside is that there's only one elevator, so the waiting time can be a bit long.

This hotel positions itself as a small luxury hotel, right in the heart of Myeongdong. The decor is dark and retro, which isn't usually my preference as I prefer brighter atmospheres, but it's a minor detail and doesn't detract from the overall experience. Right outside the hotel is a street full of food, and to the left and right, you'll find stores like ABC Mart and Olive Young. There's also a popular cafe downstairs, and hotel guests get a 15% discount, an offer extended by many surrounding businesses as well. The area boasts an abundance of food, cosmetics, and clothing stores, plus a really good PFK nearby. Lotte Duty-Free and Shinsegae Department Store are both within walking distance, and the subway station is just a three-minute walk away. It's only three or four stops to Dongdaemun, Hongdae, and Ewha Women's University, making everything super convenient. In short, this is the most convenient hotel I've stayed at in Seoul; everything you need is right at your fingertips. I'll definitely be back.

The hotel's location is excellent for shopping; it's about a 5-minute walk to Lotte Department Store and the Line 2 subway station. Dining options nearby are also very convenient. The cafe downstairs offers a comfortable breakfast experience. For a hotel in Korea, the room is quite spacious – big enough for two 28-inch suitcases. The staff service was also very nice. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit. The only slight inconvenience is that parking right in front of the hotel is difficult, so you have to walk a short distance.

We stayed at this wonderful boutique hotel for five nights and couldn't have made a better choice. We even came back for another two. The location is simply perfect: right in the heart of Myeongdong, super convenient for shopping, restaurants, cafes, and the many beauty clinics in the area. Despite being so central, the rooms are perfectly soundproofed, and we slept wonderfully every night. The room was spacious, impeccably clean daily, and equipped with every comfort: a bathtub, a large shower, a Dyson hairdryer, and the typical Korean toilet with numerous functions. We also really appreciated the free minibar, refilled daily. The hotel also offers a gym, a laundry room, and a restaurant. Within the same complex, there is also a beauty clinic, a cafe, and another restaurant that offers a 15% discount for guests. The staff was always kind and helpful, and the attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. If we were to return to Seoul, we would definitely choose this hotel again. Absolutely recommended!

Great location, with lots of places to explore nearby.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the Myeongdong shopping district, and the soundproofing is good – you can't hear any outside noise. However, the air conditioner in the room made a constant noise. The staff tried to help and checked it, but the sound persisted. They provided noise-canceling earplugs in the room, which made it acceptable to wear them. The room itself is quite spacious, and the decor is relatively new.

The staff were all very dedicated and polite, and they even spoke Chinese. Someone helped with our luggage, and we were able to store it even after checking out.

This is a very centrally located, modern accommodation. The staff are incredibly friendly, always helpful and ready to provide information. The interior design is modern, mostly quite dark, giving off a cool vibe. The professional film cameras used as decoration are original, as is a small room dedicated to the hotel founder, a successful Korean film actor. The room itself is modern and functional, and the minibar is complimentary – a nice touch! However, the large sink located within the main room rather than the bathroom area doesn't really enhance the cozy atmosphere. The bed, though, is excellent! The room lighting could only be controlled via a tablet next to the bed. I would have preferred old-fashioned light switches. There's a huge shower cubicle and a high-tech Japanese toilet. Since it's in a lively entertainment district, you should expect some noise until around 11 PM, but it was quiet during the night. Breakfast is à la carte, and the food is great. The breakfast room is tastefully decorated: bright with a modern Korean flair. It also doubles as the hotel restaurant. As a guest, you receive several discounts for nearby restaurants and services.
