This hotel was our base for our entire 4-night trip to Chiang Mai, and it was a fantastic experience! First off, the service was impeccable. As soon as we got out of the car, someone came to help with our luggage and took it directly to our room. The staff at check-in were warm and polite. We were initially assigned a ground-floor room, but after mentioning my booking request for a higher floor, they quickly arranged a switch to a second-floor room. The second floor was indeed very quiet. Although the balcony view in the room we were given was a wall, it wasn't a major issue. The room itself was spacious enough, with ample space in the bed area, sofa lounge, separate vanity, and bathroom – very comfortable. The room scent was also lovely (I even bought the same diffuser from the neighboring spa on our last day!), which was very relaxing. Complimentary drinks were provided daily. The hotel's restaurant was also good. The breakfast menu changed daily, and the mini grilled skewers were particularly delicious. Other breakfast items weren't exceptionally gourmet, but overall, they were good. We had dinner at the hotel on two evenings; the prices were reasonable, and the food was decent – not amazing, but still good. The hotel's location is its biggest highlight. I was initially worried it might be a bit out of the way, but my concerns were completely unfounded. The hotel is located right next to Wat Phra Singh. Just walk out of a small alley, and you're on the main road. There's a 7-Eleven about a 10-minute walk away, as well as a delicious restaurant called 'It's Good Kitchen'. The 333 Indoor Shooting Range is about a 20-minute walk (with many interesting shops along the way). From the hotel, getting to areas like Nimman Road or the Art Village typically takes under 20 minutes by taxi. The hotel's location is very clear, making it easy for taxi drivers or tour group pickups to find. The hotel's daily 10-minute free massage in the afternoon was very relaxing! The swimming pool water quality was decent, with suitable depths, and a beautiful, 'chill' environment. Before coming, I saw some reviews mentioning many mosquitoes and poor water quality, so I brought mosquito repellent tablets and a filtered showerhead. I didn't need the mosquito tablets as the room provided an electric mosquito repellent liquid. I did use the filtered showerhead for 4 days, and it turned a light brown, which I guess is okay – not as exaggerated as some reviews suggested, but definitely better to have brought it. (Image 9) We tipped the staff to fold the towels into little elephants, and they were super cute! Loved them!! Finally, there are two areas I think could be improved: 1. Every evening when we returned to the room, if we turned on the air conditioning, there was a smoky smell. It wasn't cigarette smoke, but more like burning herbs. Luckily, the room had an air purifier, and it wasn't too hot during our stay, so we could sleep without the AC. 2. The hotel's pillows had no contour. Although we later switched to a slightly lower pillow with a small curve, it was still uncomfortable and not very supportive for the neck. I hope the hotel introduces pillows that better conform to the human cervical spine.

This was the best accommodation I've ever stayed in. The family room was spacious, and the kids had a great time. We could enjoy the nature of Chiang Mai, and the location was perfect with restaurants and cafes nearby. The breakfast was delicious, and the 10-minute massage was also excellent. I'd love to stay here again soon!

Booked Phra Singh for a last minute family vacay to Chiang Mai! ❤️ 1. Location was perfect, a quaint & sweet home away from home, located right in the heart of Old Town yet tucked in a quiet area which gave us privacy & peace. For those travelling to Thailand for the first time - do install Grab App for easy commute, drivers come fast. Restaurants, massage, cafes & 7 elevens are walking distances as well 2. Service was excellent, I always love Thai people ❤️ 3. Amenities were sufficiently provided, rooms were spacious & clean (which is very important to me) I believe it is more spacious than average larger chain hotels 4. Activities - Phra Singh offers a wide variety of fun activities E.g Cooking classes on a daily basis too! Thank you for the stay! ❤️

This Lanna-style hotel offers services that make you feel right at home. They have complimentary afternoon tea from 2 PM to 3:30 PM daily, and a free 10-minute massage service each day. I loved the traditional Thai-style ambiance of the hotel. The grilled chicken and pork skewers at breakfast were delicious. The front desk can arrange private car hire to various attractions, and the prices are reasonable. There are several Thai massage places around the hotel; I tried Oasis this time and it was excellent. All in all, I'll definitely be back!

Hotel's Genuinely Bad Review | Overpriced and Not Worth It, Avoid at All Costs I paid nearly 1300 RMB per night to stay at this hotel, and the overall experience was a huge letdown. For the same price in Bangkok, you could easily stay at the Peninsula Hotel, and the quality of your stay would be several notches higher. I honestly don't recommend this place. After checking in, it was clear I'd been misled by the online photos; this is a typical 'influencer marketing' type of hotel. The decor uses cheap-feeling materials, the overall space is dimly lit, the layout is confined and oppressive, and the actual atmosphere differs greatly from the pictures. There were also numerous hardware issues: the pool water was murky; the bathroom towels were yellowed and old; room soundproofing was poor; and the air conditioner vent blew directly onto the sofa, making it impossible to relax there. The service was equally disappointing. When I reported issues to the staff, they only offered repeated verbal apologies without any real solutions. Even at check-out, they didn't proactively help carry my luggage to the car. I booked 3 nights consecutively, but the actual living experience was so terrible that my child couldn't even adapt, forcing us to change our flights and return home early. Seeing the high ratings on the platform, I can't help but suspect they might be inflated. At this price point, there are many better options. Not just in Bangkok, but even in Shanghai, this budget could get you a hotel of Xijiao's caliber. The value for money is extremely low, and I advise anyone planning to book to proceed with caution and steer clear.

Pleasant Surprise: The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but what they offered was exquisite. Every dish was perfectly prepared, and I believe meat lovers would especially enjoy it. I also really liked the hotel's architectural style and color scheme; it felt very comfortable and high-quality. Minor Flaw: The 'balcony' description was misleading. It felt more like an enclosed Chinese courtyard to me, so I hardly spent any time out there. There was no scenic view, just a wall.

Located in the old city, just a 10-minute drive from the airport, it's quite convenient to get around. The environment is a hidden gem tucked away in an alley. Although the hotel is compact, it has everything you need. The rooms are relatively spacious, but the facilities are a bit dated. The service is good, and they offer Chinese-speaking staff. The booking only included breakfast for two people, and we paid an extra 250 baht per day for our child, but the breakfast selection was limited, with the same three fruits every day. There's free afternoon tea and a mini-bar, but we didn't have time to use them. Overall, it's decent, but compared to the cost of living in Chiang Mai, I feel the room rate is a bit high. It might be better during the off-peak season.

The hotel's location is great, and the public areas are nice. The room itself is quite small, and the air conditioning is very loud – I just tried to treat it as white noise. As for the service, there's basically none. Overall, it's just average; the only real plus is the location.

My stay at Phra Singh Village during this Chiang Mai trip was an incredibly pleasant experience. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the Old City, and its excellent location made it incredibly convenient for us to visit temples or night markets. What impressed me the most was the warm and friendly service from the hotel staff; they truly made us feel at home. The breakfast offered daily was diverse and delicious, and the complimentary afternoon tea added to the relaxed vacation vibe. Moreover, the quality of the in-room dining service was outstanding; if you didn't feel like going out, you could still enjoy high-quality meals in your room, which was a very thoughtful touch. Overall, everything from the environment to the soft services is exceptionally well-maintained, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay. It will definitely be my top choice for a return visit to Chiang Mai.
