Heeren Street Boutique Hotel at Jonker Walk

Clean and conveniently located near tourist attractions.

The hotel is very well located in the heart of the old town. However, there was a lot of dampness on the walls and ceilings, with a musty and stale smell, and no way to air out the room. The bedding was questionable and the furniture was ancient, making me reluctant to put my clothes on it. In short, we spent as little time as possible there and were out the door by 7 AM! On a positive note, the staff was friendly.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, and it was really good. First off, it's very close to the Dutch Square (Red Square) and Jonker Street, just a 5-minute walk away. The biggest mall in the area is also only a 10-minute walk. Malaysian hotels usually don't provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, but this one did. What touched me the most was on my last day; I needed a taxi to the long-distance bus station early in the morning, and the owner specially came to the hotel early to call a taxi for me. A truly wonderful person!

Close to eateries and attractions, easy to walk to and convenient. The staff were attentive and took good care of us.
