Lhasa, known as the 'City of Sunshine,' left an incredibly beautiful memory for my family and me during our stay at the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise. The hotel's exterior is grand and aesthetically pleasing, with an overall stylish ambiance. The bedding in the rooms was soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep every night. What we loved most was the glass design in the lobby; sitting there, you can gaze up at Lhasa's pristine blue skies and white clouds. As the sunlight streams in, it truly broadens your mind. Before our trip, we were torn between The St. Regis Lhasa Resort and Shangri-La. We even visited both properties to compare their services. After careful consideration, we ultimately chose the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise, and looking back, it was absolutely the right decision. My family and I have stayed at many high-end hotels both domestically and internationally, but the service here, in particular, genuinely impressed us. Throughout our stay, the person I want to commend most sincerely is our butler, Dekyi Nancy. She went above and beyond for us, handling numerous tasks, many of which were outside her regular duties. We felt a little bad for bothering her so frequently, but she was always gracious, handling everything big and small with meticulous care and no complaints. Dekyi Nancy not only has outstanding professional abilities but also treats guests with warmth and sincerity, offering professional and detailed service, and handling matters reliably and steadily. Knowing that altitude sickness can be an issue upon arrival, she constantly kept our family's health in mind. She would proactively check in on us daily, offering thoughtful reminders about high-altitude travel, rest, and dietary precautions. No matter what problems we encountered or what needs we had, she responded immediately, patiently helped coordinate solutions, and provided attentive companionship throughout our stay. Compared to other high-end hotels we've experienced, Dekyi Nancy's enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism truly stood out. Her service wasn't just a rigid, procedural interaction; it was genuine care and concern from the heart, making us, as visitors in a foreign land, feel a profound sense of warmth. With excellent facilities, breathtaking views, and such warm and thoughtful service, our entire stay was impeccable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to friends visiting Lhasa and feel fortunate to have met such an exceptional butler as Dekyi Nancy during our trip. By pre-arranging every check-in detail, she ensured we felt completely reassured and cared for even before we arrived. Upon arrival and during our stay, Dekyi's service continued to be meticulous and attentive in every detail. She was gentle and sincere in her demeanor, yet efficient and reliable in her actions, patiently following up on our experience throughout. She regularly checked on our well-being and meticulously answered all our questions about sightseeing and dining. Whenever we had a request, she was always there to respond immediately and resolve it efficiently and properly. Her service was just right—never intrusive, yet always comprehensive, balancing professionalism with warmth. In the unfamiliar high-altitude environment, Dekyi, with her twelve years of dedication and passion, provided care that felt like family. There was no perfunctory, by-the-book service, only genuine effort. Every single detail showcased the professional caliber of a high-end butler. Each morning, I would wake up to her timely and warm good morning message. She frequently checked in on our stay and paid special attention to our well-being as we adjusted to the high altitude. She thoughtfully reminded us about altitude sickness precautions, diet, and rest, her delicate care truly touching our hearts. I've stayed in many high-end, luxury hotels before, but I've never experienced such sincere, attentive, and genuinely warm butler service. There was no perfunctory formality, just heartfelt care. Throughout our trip, no matter what we needed, she was always there to patiently coordinate and resolve issues immediately. Every request was met with a response, and every matter was handled, which made us feel incredibly secure and at ease in a foreign land. The entire trip was comfortable and restorative. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, the environment is elegant, and coupled with Dekyi Nancy's perfect, attentive service, the overall experience was absolutely exceptional. The next time I come to Lhasa, I will definitely choose this hotel first and will wholeheartedly recommend the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise and its attentive butler, Dekyi Nancy, to all my friends and family.

An established five-star hotel with good service. The front desk staff were welcoming and proactively offered water and an oxygen concentrator. The hotel is very close to Wanda Plaza, so there are plenty of dining options.

The hotel is grand and the overall experience was good, it's just a bit dated, and the rooms feel a bit old-fashioned. They provide oxygen concentrators and humidifiers, and the breakfast restaurant is very nice. The room has a bathtub, but no bath mat or bath salts.

I rarely leave reviews, but this time I absolutely have to. We booked three rooms for a two-night stay. First, I'd like to thank the InterContinental for upgrading one of our rooms to an executive room. However, this is, without a doubt, the worst InterContinental I've ever stayed at. Firstly, on our check-in day, we informed the front desk that we had an elderly guest who needed an oxygen concentrator. That machine rattled and clanked all night, making it impossible to sleep. The next day, when we asked if we could get a different oxygen tank, the butler actually told us that the hotel had no other equipment, essentially implying, 'Just deal with it.' On top of that, on the first night, there were people arguing loudly in the hallway, and not once did any hotel staff intervene. Secondly, on the second day, around 9:15 AM, I specifically called the front desk to ask for a light cleaning of the room. The front desk even asked if we wanted the sheets changed, and we said no. Yet, when we returned to the hotel around 6 PM, the room hadn't been cleaned. I called the front desk again and had to urge them three times before a staff member finally came knocking on our door, sluggishly. Upon entering, they complained, saying we had told them not to clean the room. I'd like to ask when and where the staff member ever saw anyone from our room, and who said not to clean the room? Is this how five-star hotel staff are trained – to complain to guests and get scolded by the front desk? Is this the InterContinental's service standard? On the second day, during checkout, I went to the front desk to ask for a bag to put some small items in. The front desk initially said, 'Go get it yourself from the concierge.' I just want to know, it's at least 60 meters from the front desk to the concierge; are guests supposed to go retrieve it themselves? I asked if it could be delivered to the front desk, and the staff said it would take a long time, and I should wait in my room. The result? I never got the bag even by checkout time. I ended up carrying a metal box out the main entrance, and the front desk staff didn't even offer an apology. I just want to ask, does this kind of service meet your standards? Which five-star hotel provides service like this? I really shouldn't try to save money next time. I'll stick to Shangri-La, honestly.

Diffused Oxygen Supply: Returning to the hotel felt much more comfortable, and the room was equipped with a humidifier. Facilities: The hotel lobby is very grandly decorated, with numerous businesses to choose from, including a supermarket, boutique shops, and restaurants. Service: Check-in at the lobby was efficient and convenient, and our requests were promptly addressed. We raised complaints and suggestions, and the lobby manager accepted them and proposed solutions. The seating and service quality at the lobby bar need improvement; guests shouldn't have to hunch over to eat. The hotel promptly accommodated our special requests, providing a high-floor room with good views overlooking the Potala Palace. Special commendation goes to Tamdrin for his butler-style service; he was attentive to our itinerary and feelings and promptly followed up on our pillow requests for the room.

The room was spacious and in great condition, with diffused oxygen available. The front desk service was exceptional; they helped with luggage right as I got out of the car, which was incredibly helpful for someone just arriving in Tibet. A special thank you to Dekyi Nancy, who helped reserve my room in advance and constantly followed up on my situation and needs.

The room was great! My only minor complaint was feeling a bit out of breath, which turned out to be altitude sickness. The staff, however, were incredible; they immediately brought an oxygen machine to my room in the middle of the night. The service was top-notch, and our butler, Nancy, was absolutely wonderful.
