Hitching Post Country Motel

It does not seem there are Kings beds despite advertising/offering of such. Room has a full and a twin and no, they cannot be pushed together. The entire room is tiny. I mean tiny. My bf knees touched shower curtain when sitting on toilet and could not shut door-tiny. We did not attempt to use shower because so small. That being said, it satisfies what we needed it for-it was inexpensive as rates go, it was clean, the AC worked well as did the tv. Honestly I’d give 2.5.

Spooky and dirty Paid $150 for a night but I wouldn’t even pay $50 if I had seen the place before. Booked 5 months before the trip and they called me they don’t have a room 2 weeks prior. So I asked why and then they said they would give me the room. When I entered the room it was stinky with cigarette smell and cheap air freshener. Things were dusty and extremely outdated. Super tiny shower and toilet right next to each other. The sink smelled very bad. Overall, spooky and dirty place I will never come back.

We didn't want to drive home after a late event so I was looking for something close and not to expensive just to sleep. This place was perfect, close to our event, clean, quiet and very nice staff.

The room was probably the smallest American hotel room I had ever used. But it was great for what i was using it for, which was sleeping. Needs more outlets, and a larger shower with a higher shower head (only at shoulder height).

I want my money back. The place was dismal with bugs, mildewed shower curtin, 2 mini lights for illumination and beat up furniture. We didn't stay and left as my wife and daughter found the room awlful. Please refund my money

Need a place for an overnight before a day at Lime Rock. Room clean and pleasant and easy checkin experience. Thanks

It's a simple, no frills whatsoever, motel in a tiny town. Cute cafe nearby and lots of hiking trails. It's run by a family and they do a good job of keeping it clean and tidy. We had no issues at all. The shower is clean and has hot water. The room has a fridge. The beds are good enough and the linens all smelled fresh. The AC works. No stale smells. The only downside is the price. For the life of me, I had never come across a motel that wanted to charge $250/night for 2 beds. Even after booking through *******, when I called to confirm, the owner tried to tell me he can determine or change the price. I didn't understand what that was about because when I got there, he just charged me and didn't argue. I paid a little over $200, which is still way too much but it's a supply and a demand situation
