Allston Hotel (Xiamen Railway Station MixC Mall)

The biggest plus of this hotel is its excellent location, being just a 400m walk from Xiamen Station. The staff are generally very friendly and responsive to requests, always greeting guests with a smile. They offer unlimited complimentary bottled water; you just need to pick it up from the front desk. The room facilities are a bit dated, but it's one of the few hotels that offers family rooms. The beds are quite soft, and many small details in the room are well thought out. Overall, it feels more like an old-fashioned, family-run guesthouse. They seem to do a good job with service and cleanliness, but the breakfast is quite average, so don't expect too much. However, given its prime location and affordable price, it offers great value for money, especially for solo travelers.

Great value for money! It's right across from MixC mall, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The Hechengdong Road subway station is just a five-minute walk away, so transportation is super convenient. Their taro congee for breakfast is pretty good too.

This is my second stay this year, and I chose it again because of its comfort and convenience. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, mainly due to its quiet yet central location. It's surrounded by large commercial areas and traditional Xiamen eateries, and within walking distance to two metro lines and Xiamen High-Speed Rail Station. Hygiene: The cleaning schedule was well-arranged, and the cleanliness was good. Facilities: The basic hardware is a bit dated, but it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Definitely recommended! I'll choose this Aston again when I visit Xiamen.
