Booked this charming accomodation through Brittanny Ferries where we spent 6 days to explore Cantabria and in particular the Valles Paseigos. The house was a school with a small chapel attached with a beautiful green garden next to the River Miera. The house is full of old world charm, large bedrooms with pretty views. Ample breakfast provided by Ines who speaks good English and ensures an easy stay. Lierganes is a picture village with several good restaurant. It has a train station that is part of the Santander suburban lines ( currently withbus replacement service) so very convenient for the city. The town is about 7 km from the main motorway thus very handy for both Santander and Bilbao ferries. Would recommend for a few days at the end of a southern Spain trip to savour the difference of northern Spain, or a longer stay to enjoy the verdant ahighland scenery og Cantabria and Castille

Nos alojamos mi marido y yo a finales de agosto 2025 en este hotel rural, la casa es muy bonita pero las habitaciones no tienen aislamiento y se oye a los de las demás habitaciones muchísimo.Era muy difícil descansar porque suenan hasta las cisternas del resto y si además te tocan al lado una familia ruidosa como nos pasó a nosotros ya ni te cuento. Además el colchón es pésimo.

Superbe Superbe séjour, très bien accueillis par notre hôte. Service irréprochable. Le dernier jour nous sommes partis très tôt, l’hôte nous avait préparé un petit-déjeuner à emporter. Nous avons aussi pu visiter la chapelle. Havre de paix! Nous recommandons vivement !

El edificio es espectacular y la situación inmejorable, pero la verdad es que nos decepciono bastante ya que al reservar y ver los espacios imaginábamos que todo estaría de 10, no fue así, el colchón era de muelles y algunos te los clavabas al dormir, el desayuno esta correcto siempre y cuando te guste desayunar dulce, ya que no hay opciones de salado salvo un minisandwich; a esto hay que sumarle el momento venta de mermelada durante el desayuno, yo particularmente sin un café no soy persona con lo que no me pareció el momento más correcto para realizar la venta. En resumen, me parece que para el precio de las habitaciones les falta mejorar algunas cosas.
