HYATT PLACE KUNMING SOUTH RAILWAY STATION

I stayed here for a night near the South Station as a stopover for Mile. The hotel offers good value for money, is convenient and fast, and even provides a shuttle directly to the South Station. I purchased a package that included lunch. The restaurant environment and service were decent, but the ingredients were a bit disappointing. The pork had a very strong ***** smell, and the pigeon tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. After eating, I had diarrhea several times that afternoon.

Quite satisfied, and there's a sofa bed. They also allowed for a 2-hour late check-out, and the breakfast was abundant.

From the airport pickup arrangement to check-in, the service was truly warm and considerate. The room facilities were quite new, and they proactively asked about toiletries for the child. The farewell greeting made us feel welcomed again. This is definitely our top choice next time we visit Kunming.

This hotel is my top choice for a layover in Kunming, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff, especially Xiao Luo and Yue Liang, were composed and polite during check-in and check-out, making the process quick and hassle-free. They were also very responsive and attentive to my needs. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Kunming South Station and offers a shuttle service. The room was clean and tidy with no strange odors. All the appliances and bathroom fixtures were well-maintained and looked new. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to get a good night's sleep after a long day of travel. The value for money is outstanding.

A pleasant surprise! I didn't realize it was a Hyatt brand, and the quality was excellent. The staff were fantastic, especially the front desk team, including Xiao Yan, who were all friendly and thoughtful. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Definitely worth another visit!

Of all the wonderful things about my trip to Kunming – not the Dounan flower market, nor the Dianchi Lake breeze – the most delightful surprise was my stay at the Hyatt Place. From the moment I checked in, Xia An and Xiao Luo at the front desk greeted me with bright smiles and cheerful voices: "Welcome to Kunming! You must be tired from your journey; we'll get you checked in right away. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need anything!" The room was so comfortable I didn't want to leave. The bed was incredibly soft, and even the evening breeze of Kunming felt gentler. But the breakfast was truly exceptional: freshly cooked rice noodles, soft and chewy flower pastries, and freshly squeezed juices. This breakfast alone was my motivation to wake up every morning. I decided to extend my stay for a few more days, and when I went to the front desk again, they greeted me with familiar smiles: "Welcome back! Would you like the same room? We'll get it ready for you." The entire process was efficient and thoughtful. I casually mentioned that "the pillows in the room are very comfortable," and to my surprise, when the room was cleaned the next day, they had quietly placed an extra identical pillow for me. On my last day, I specifically handed them a small comic I had drawn earlier – it depicted the two of them smiling at the front desk, with a steaming flower pastry drawn next to them. Their eyes lit up when they received it, exclaiming, "What a wonderful surprise!" They walked me all the way to the elevator, waving and saying, "Next time you're in Kunming, remember to look for us!" It turns out the best travel experiences are never just about the scenery; they're about moments like these, where you're genuinely cared for and can reciprocate that kindness.
