Homewood Suites by Hilton Windsor Locks Hartford

This is my go to place when I travel to this section of CT . This time around my room wasn’t fully cleaned . The bathroom could have used a little bit more cleaning and I didn’t like the fact that the mattress didn’t have a zipper protector . The internet isn’t the best either other than that it’s quiet and the staff are friendly.

Convenient to the Airport. Close to restaurant room was clean and big friendly staff,continental breakfast was really good will recommend to family and friends

They don’t offer a shuttle to the airport which ******- getting an uber at 4:30 in the morning when right next to the airport was a drag.

We arrived on a Tuesday and left on the following Saturday. During our stay the room was not serviced once. We had to go to the front desk twice to get toilet paper and towels. There was a funky smell in the room like something had died. By Friday, the trash was piled up and was not removed. We reported issues to the front desk several times without anything being done. The cold water faucet in the bathroom spun all the way around. The only way that we got it fixed was to ask a guy who was eating his lunch to fix it. The majority of the staff looked like they were on a regular break. The only staff that were regularly working were the breakfast staff. During checkout we complained once again and we were told that we would be contacted by the manager. So far, nothing. I would not stay at this hotel again.

The breakfast was very good. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The suite was dated with water stains on ceiling and wall in bathroom, rental not clean, silverware in dishwasher from past renter, peanuts on kitchen floor, white pill on floor near window, torn lamp shade, torn curtains, stained couch, fan missing blade, all windows glass broken and taped, windows sealed unable to open. Rented due to fireplace and kitchen. Fireplace was missing wood. Front desk told us they ran out and needed to buy our own duralog which we did. No instructions on fireplace to open flume and front desk stated to pull to far left well...that closed it and filled the room with smoke that we had to air out by opening front door of rental. Staff were friendly. If the room was cleaned and updated it would have been a 5 star however I would give it a 2.5 to 3
