This hotel is fantastic. We spent the first six days in a water villa, followed by four days in a beach villa. The beach villa was newer and recently renovated, but the water villa was truly extraordinary! Morning and evening, we could watch fish. In the evenings, rays and sharks would swim by. There was a spotlight under the villa that gave a clear view of everything. We traveled with our 5-year-old and never had a dull moment. Most of our time was spent near the sunrise bar by the kids' pool. From 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, they had happy hours where you could get two cocktails for the price of one. The cocktails were delicious. I tried tequila sunrise, Aperol, and another one, but tequila sunrise was the best. The food isn't like Turkish resorts, but the selection was decent. We never went hungry. The only downside was the limited vegetable options. More vegetable-based dishes and salads would be nice. However, their buttery flatbreads were amazing. I tried to avoid eating too many to watch my weight, but they were simply irresistible. The ice cream—strawberry, mango, chocolate—was also excellent and paired perfectly with fruit salad. Breakfasts featured chia seed desserts, which I highly recommend trying! Special thanks to our manager, Mr. Mahdi, for promptly addressing all our requests, especially for helping us switch to a villa on the sunset side. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting you warmly and assisting with genuine care. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. We had an utterly magical vacation at this Maldives resort. The island truly felt like a piece of paradise, with postcard-perfect views that took our breath away! The rooms were gorgeous, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional care. The staff was incredibly attentive, kind, and professional. Special thanks to Sathish for keeping our room spotless every single day; the housekeeping was flawless. We ultimately stayed in a Grand Beach Suite with a pool on Dream Island, which I strongly suggest over the main island. The relaxed atmosphere and stunning surroundings, including lush tropical vegetation, felt truly indulgent. The staff's friendliness was sincere, not staged. Special recognition goes to our host Bouchra—by the end of our stay, she felt more like family than staff. It was a rare and meaningful connection. The food quality was consistently good, and the resort is excellent for families with children. Two things to keep in mind when booking: opt for the newer room categories, as older ones are beginning to show their age. Additionally, the buffet restaurants are currently busier than usual due to construction work, which has concentrated more guests in certain areas. This should improve once the renovations are completed. Highly recommended—just choose wisely when booking.

The speedboat transfer from Male is quick and hassle-free, taking less than an hour. Hospitality here is top-notch with highly attentive staff and a broad range of dining choices. However, the shallow water is filled with green seaweed, so you won't find the crystal-clear sea views commonly associated with such locations. While the overwater villas are immaculately clean, their design feels somewhat basic and lacks a striking allure. It's a great spot for lounging and indulging on a mid-range budget but might not meet the expectations of snorkeling enthusiasts or photography fanatics.

My wife and I visited the Maldives for the first time, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived at the airport until the day we departed, the hospitality and quality of service were exceptional. Upon arriving at the hotel, we received a warm welcome from the staff, complete with a traditional Maldivian conch shell greeting. We were then escorted to the Lagoon bar for the check-in process, which took about 15-20 minutes. I want to give special thanks to Mahdi, our island host, who addressed all our questions and ensured our stay was seamless. The service and food at Milano and Crust & Flame restaurants also stood out. Chef Aafaag and his team provided outstanding quality and service. I’d also like to acknowledge Kaana and Jani, who were not just fantastic bartenders but genuinely wonderful people. Lastly, I must mention Mohammed (I hope I got the name right), the bus driver. His kindness, positive energy, and love for his job made us smile and feel truly welcomed. In June 2026, our family stayed at the wonderful Sun Siyam Olhuveli resort. The food options were quite diverse, and the beach villas were excellent—especially the outdoor shower, which was simply delightful. The service was great, and the saxophonist and violinist performing by the pool at sunset created truly unforgettable moments. And of course, the sea! The mesmerizing color of the water left us in awe. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the house reef and diving experience. We were lucky to find an amazing instructor, Victoria—she’s absolutely one of a kind. She was incredibly comfortable to be around, passionate, attentive, and made every dive a positive and enjoyable experience! The underwater beauty we witnessed cannot be expressed in words. Our 12-year-old daughter was thrilled with Victoria and trusted her completely, even diving solo with her. It was pure joy!

We stayed at this hotel as part of a longer holiday/cruise package arranged by Imagine Cruising, and I can genuinely say the hotel was excellent. The room was bright, spacious, and just a few steps away from the lagoon. During our five-night stay, we managed to book some of the specialty restaurants, and they were fantastic. The Thai and Indian options stood out as particularly delicious. It was a wonderful start to our trip. However, the only downside was the transfer back to the airport—we were told to gather at 6 am, but the boat didn’t depart until 8.

We stayed at Sun Siyam Olhuveli from May 12 to May 16 with our family, and it was an amazing experience. We spent 2 nights in a Water Villa with Pool and 2 nights in a Beach Villa with Pool. Both accommodations were spacious, well-maintained, and cleaned twice daily. The trip was specially arranged for our daughter’s birthday, and our host Alsaba prepared beautiful birthday amenities that made the celebration truly special. We enjoyed memorable activities like the dolphin cruise, Thali meal, and floating breakfast. The food throughout our stay was excellent, and the service was impeccable. Traveled in April-May 2026 with a friend to celebrate a special milestone. The vacation was amazing! The hotel was fantastic—lush greenery, modern rooms, and great toiletries. The main restaurant had delicious food (we didn't visit the others). Special thanks to Mohamed and Faisal at the restaurant for fulfilling all our requests and decorating the table beautifully before our departure. The beach was clean, comfortable, and located in a serene lagoon. Activities were spread across three islands, with a photo opportunity at every step. The only downside was the evening DJ; her playlist could use improvement. The hotel is conveniently close to the airport, and the boat transfer was comfortable. Wi-Fi worked everywhere on the property! We loved everything about our stay and didn’t want to leave! Complimentary 5-minute trial diving was fantastic with an excellent instructor. Also took a bachata lesson on the second island—it was great! The waitress from Bali was amazing, as was the entire staff. Truly a wonderful experience!

I really loved the hotel for its location and infrastructure. It's just a 35-minute boat ride from the airport. The resort offers three islands tailored for different types of relaxation: active areas and places for peace and solitude. Affordable water activities are available. The kids' playroom is amazing—staff don't just supervise but engage children in various games all day long. The kids didn't want to leave! The sports trainers, Kristina and Adem, were excellent. The buggy driver was lively, uplifting everyone's mood during every ride. Plus, the house reef is stunning, with manta rays, turtles, sharks, and countless colorful fish. Boredom is simply not an option here.

The resort is located 45 minutes from the airport via speed boat, which was efficiently arranged, ensuring we didn't have to wait at all. We had a direct transfer to the resort. We went for our honeymoon, and the resort staff ensured our experience was hassle-free. Our Hotel Host, Mr. Hussain, welcomed us warmly and provided a full overview of activities and the islands on the first day. He was very kind and available on WhatsApp 24/7 to assist us with anything we needed. From the airport to the resort and back, all staff members went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. We stayed in an over-water villa, which offered breathtaking views day and night. Sun Siyam features three interconnected islands, and we spent our time exploring all of them and enjoying the many activities available. It's highly recommended, and I would definitely visit again. What truly stood out was the incredible hospitality. Every staff member was ready to help no matter the request—anything we needed was provided promptly. We stayed at this hotel from May 22 to May 30, 2026, in a lagoon villa. We absolutely loved the villa itself and its location. The rooms were spacious with high ceilings, and the bathroom was equipped with two showers plus a bathtub. From the moment we were met at the airport to arriving on the island, the experience was delightful. At the pier, staff greeted us with musical instruments and a palm-leaf pendant as a gift. Our arrival was accompanied by dancing girls and a drummer, followed by a much-welcomed welcome drink. At the reception, every family was given a private table and chairs, along with a personal butler available 24/7 during the stay. We were lucky to have Kosta as our butler, a very pleasant young man who was attentive, caring, and quick to respond to our requests and needs. The food in the restaurants was delicious and diverse, and we often dined at the à la carte restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly and courteous, making us feel very comfortable and cozy. The weather was perfect, sunny with +30°C, and it only rained twice at night. The sun was strong, so protective clothing is essential as we did get a bit sunburned. The beaches were immaculate, and the water was crystal clear. We highly recommend this hotel—you’ll love it!

A lot of entertainment options are available: a gym, tennis courts, volleyball courts, chess, and more. The bungalow is spacious and comfortable, cleaned twice a day. Both the beach and pools are spotless. Special thanks to the hotel representative Aida for always being available and assisting with any issues. We spent most of our vacation on Maafushi Island. It's a local island, home to locals, but still boasts a well-developed tourism industry. It has white sand, turquoise water, and reasonably priced hotels. What we did: 1. Daily excursions. We swam with nurse sharks – it was an out-of-this-world experience! 😅 2. Stingray Island. We also went to an island where you can see and feed large stingrays. There are also reef excursions. 3. A day on a resort island. The most amazing excursion. You'll be picked up in the morning and spend the whole day on the resort island. Includes lunch, a bar, sun loungers, overwater swings, and water villas. You'll be picked up back at 5:00 PM on Maafushi. Important information about Maafushi: Alcohol is prohibited on the island itself. But every evening, from the pier, you'll be taken to a yacht with a bar and party scene 😅 So, it's not boring without that. Bottom line: The Maldives turned out to be both budget-friendly and action-packed. Maafushi is the perfect base for seeing everything without breaking the bank.

We stayed as a family from 16.06.2026 to 22.06.2026 and were lucky with the weather—only the last day was cloudy with some rain starting in the afternoon! The resort is made up of three islands connected by bridges. One of the islands is adults-only, so if you're traveling without kids, it's the perfect spot, as it's much quieter compared to the busier main areas. This resort is ideal for a first-time trip to the Maldives, especially if you're traveling with children. Getting to the resort from Male Airport is quick and easy—just about 45 minutes by speedboat. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive. Special thanks to our manager Mahdi, who was always available and helpful whenever we needed anything! There’s a private reef near the diving center, and their Russian-speaking instructors were excellent. Big thanks to instructor Ekaterina for helping my son and me experience our first dive with scuba gear. As for the food, everything was great with a wide selection of dishes. Though there were lots of people in the restaurant during lunch and dinner, it wasn’t a big issue, as there were plenty of tables available. Overall, we really loved the hotel and regretted not booking a stay 2–3 days longer (we were concerned about the weather being rainy during the off-season).

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful place with my daughter from 23.06.26 to 28.06.26! Thanks to our butler Aida, our stay was absolutely perfect! She handled all our queries during our hotel stay and helped us book a dolphin excursion as well as lunches and dinners at various hotel restaurants. The hotel itself is spacious and lush. It’s an excellent choice for families with children, offering everything needed for a full-fledged vacation. There are pools, a coral reef, and a gentle beach entry into the sea. The food is varied and caters to all tastes. Spa, excursions, entertainment—everything reflects the hotel’s care for its guests. It was my daughter’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel surprised us with a cake and wine delivered to our room as a complimentary gesture. Room cleaning was done twice daily, and the minibar was restocked every day. Everything was clean and beautifully maintained. Many of the staff speak Russian. There’s also a medical unit where you can buy essential medicines at very reasonable prices, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel has a diving center as well, where I completed official training. They also rent out masks and fins, and there are Russian-speaking instructors who take the time to explain and demonstrate everything thoroughly. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel 100% for families with kids.

We’ve had the pleasure of visiting this resort for the third time now. Our first visit was back in February 2020, the second in May last year, and here we are again a year later. Why do we keep choosing this island? For us, it offers the perfect blend of everything we need for an ideal vacation. The resort spans across three islands, and you can either stroll around or use the mini buses to get around. The drivers are polite, and I’d specifically like to mention Al Amin, who is always helpful, courteous, and cheerful. The reef is wonderful, with manta rays, turtles, sharks, various stingrays, pufferfish, moray eels, and more. There are coral gardens and beautiful lagoons. The villas are updated, and we prefer either the Grand Beach Villa with Pool (one large room) or the Grand Beach Suite with Pool (two rooms). Both are great options for families with kids, though the latter is especially convenient. The only downside is that construction on one side of the island can disrupt the experience, and some suites are located in this area—something to keep in mind. Nonetheless, the rooms are excellent and comfortable, and the housekeeping service is impeccable. The food in the hotel is excellent and well-prepared. It’s more than enough for a complete diet. We don’t drink alcohol, so we can’t comment on that, but all other drinks are also great. The servers are exceptional, and we’d like to express special gratitude to Delowar, Swamy, and Saiful. Their attentive service made our dining experiences even better. Our island hosts were Ayna and Aida. Both were polite and did their best to address any issues or questions we had, including helping with excursion and restaurant bookings. For our family, this resort is truly unique. We can fully relax here, enjoying the peace and tranquility. Thank you!
