It's been a while since I last wrote a review, but I just had to share my experience this time. **Facilities:** Excellent and very complete. No strange odors, and there's a hot spring (though I didn't get to use it due to lack of time). It's uncrowded with beautiful scenery, about 1km from Ubud Palace. There's a convenient store right outside the hotel on the main road, and a rainforest just behind the property. **Cleanliness:** Clean and tidy, though the bathroom had a bit of a strong odor (likely due to no windows and sewer gas). **Ambiance:** The overall environment is fantastic. The entire decor has a very authentic local folk style. You can even enjoy rainforest afternoon tea without leaving the hotel. **Service:** The check-in experience was great. They provide discount coupons for various hotel activities and experiences. **Free Activities:** I tried the morning yoga and booked a hotel photoshoot. **Paid Activities:** The flower bath spa. The massage area is right in the jungle, which was truly relaxing. Listening to the gurgling stream and birdsong, my whole body just unwound.

The hotel ambiance is excellent, giving you a feeling of being in a forest, and the location is great, very close to the Campuhan Ridge Walk. It's also super convenient for souvenir shopping, with a big supermarket just a 5-minute walk away. The restaurant offers decent value for money, and the spa is unique. Although I didn't get to use the pool, it looked pretty good. However, our room was assigned to the furthest corner, very close to the road and quite noisy, and the facilities inside were a bit old.

The location and the hotel overall are very nice. We’ve enjoyed the view, the food, the accommodation, the spa, massage and basically everything the hotel has to offer. We’ve hade a walking bridge to the Lebah Temple just outside our room. It was really great to walk around the “Ubud origin” spot and continue to the Campuhan Ridge hike. We’ve had some minor issues with the room when we first arrived, but thanks to Kadek Suparta’s (manager) welcome message in WA, we were able to amend everything swiftly.

The hotel's environment and architecture really capture the Bali style, and the room was incredibly spacious. The service was excellent too; when we checked in with our little one, they even gave us a big bed and a small bed. However, on our first night, I woke up in the middle of the night with incredibly itchy arms and back, and the next day, small red rashes appeared all over those areas. Just something to keep in mind!

We first stayed at Hotel Tjampuhan in 1993.  Our visit this time was as magical and wonderful as that first time.  While Ubud is much bigger and busier than thirty years ago, the setting of the hotel on the ridge overlooking the river is as beautiful as one can imagine, the staff are as helpful and charming can be, and the food, particularly the Balinese dishes are excellent.  Don’t miss afternoon tea.  This has to be one of our favorite hotels in the world.

The snake fruit was delicious! I loved the rainforest vibe and the relaxation platform, perfect for chilling out. Plus, it's super convenient with Bintang Supermarket just a short walk away. You can easily walk to Ubud's busiest streets and even hike through the rice fields right outside the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here. And with breakfast included, it's excellent value for money!

This time I was assigned the coconut 2 room. Which was quite disgusting. I think it’s the worst room they have on property. The door does not even have a mechanism to lock from the outside. Maybe it’s just missing a chain they forgot to add. But in any case guests shouldn’t be treated like prison guards and inmates . The toilet was massive but there was absence of ventilation inside causing an odor to build up. Also there was a water ponding issue on the ground due to the tiles sagging. The false roof was made of a thin opaque plastic as the original roof had fallen apart as visible from the outside.

This hotel truly blew me away. The moment I stepped in and saw the surroundings, I fell in love. It feels like a hotel nestled right next to a canyon; when it's quiet, you can hear the sound of the stream. I can only imagine how relaxing a spa treatment would be here. The hotel very kindly upgraded our room. The facilities were luxurious, and our balcony was surrounded by trees. The hotel also has a rich history; apparently, Charlie Chaplin once stayed here. All the staff were incredibly friendly, and the restaurant's food was outstanding. If I ever get the chance to visit Ubud again, I'll definitely be staying here.

I absolutely loved my stay at Tjampuhan. The hotel is incredibly beautiful and authentic, surrounded by lush jungle, with gorgeous traditional Balinese-style rooms. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. I loved the hotel so much that I rescheduled my tours just to spend two full days relaxing there, and I genuinely didn’t want to leave. It is honestly one of the most special places I have ever stayed and the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back!
