Hotel Tjampuhan Spa

It's been a while since I last wrote a review, but I just had to share my experience this time. **Facilities:** Excellent and very complete. No strange odors, and there's a hot spring (though I didn't get to use it due to lack of time). It's uncrowded with beautiful scenery, about 1km from Ubud Palace. There's a convenient store right outside the hotel on the main road, and a rainforest just behind the property. **Cleanliness:** Clean and tidy, though the bathroom had a bit of a strong odor (likely due to no windows and sewer gas). **Ambiance:** The overall environment is fantastic. The entire decor has a very authentic local folk style. You can even enjoy rainforest afternoon tea without leaving the hotel. **Service:** The check-in experience was great. They provide discount coupons for various hotel activities and experiences. **Free Activities:** I tried the morning yoga and booked a hotel photoshoot. **Paid Activities:** The flower bath spa. The massage area is right in the jungle, which was truly relaxing. Listening to the gurgling stream and birdsong, my whole body just unwound.

I chose this hotel because it's a hundred-year-old building, and it really set the mood as our first stop on the trip. Sitting on the balcony, it felt like being in a tropical rainforest with the sound of flowing water – instant vacation vibes, haha! The hotel's location is also great, right in the center of Ubud. The spa area is super cool, with a cave pool and a warm pool; you can even visit it if you're not getting a spa treatment. The cleanliness could be improved, but the water was fine; my husband even brushed his teeth with the tap water, and he was okay. I highly recommend spending two hours exploring behind the hotel. Walking down from the spa area truly gives you that rainforest feel, very pristine. We even crossed a bridge to a temple on the other side, from where you could see the entire hotel.

If you really want to experience and enjoy local culture, you have to stay here. The hotel is beautifully adorned with intricate carvings and paintings, making every corner a picturesque photo opportunity. **Service:** The staff are warm, welcoming, and always offer service with a smile. **Cleanliness:** The hygiene is excellent, though I'm not sure why there were no slippers in the room. Breakfast wasn't super extensive, but it was still quite good. The hotel is about 1 kilometer from the bustling downtown area, which makes it relatively quiet. Staying in the main core would be too noisy with motorcycles everywhere.

Everything was great. The environment was lovely, no mosquitoes or bugs, and the water quality in the bathroom was good enough that I didn't even need to use my disposable showerhead. Breakfast was also very rich and plentiful. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and welcoming.

Facilities: The facilities are good, and the breakfast is plentiful. The freshly made egg dishes are the best. Environment: It's like living in a forest. There aren't many mosquitoes in the hotel, but you're in close contact with nature. I saw a bat on the balcony at night and got a bit of a fright! Service: Room cleaning is very quick, and the staff are enthusiastic.

Our stay was fantastic! 👍 The hotel room was spacious and clean, and the service was incredibly warm. They helped us with our luggage, explained how to use the equipment, and detailed all the services available. 😊 What we appreciated most was the complimentary and very generous breakfast, as well as the free afternoon tea, which really helped us out with meals. They also offered a great variety of activities, and we even took a yoga class!
