Mount Hua East Peak Hotel

The scenery is simply amazing! On the first day, I hiked in a daze all the way up to the North, Central, and East Peaks, and stayed here. The next morning, I watched the sunrise, finished hiking the South and West Peaks, and took the cable car down from the West Peak. It was an easy and perfect finish! The capsule bed was surprisingly comfortable and offered good privacy, except that the sinks and toilets are outside, and you need to bring your own toiletries. Considering you're all the way up on Mount Hua's summit, having these facilities is already pretty good! Highly recommended!

Conditions on the mountain are quite basic, so you can't set your expectations too high. The restrooms are shared and there are no shower facilities, so it's recommended to turn in early. However, the rooms are clean and tidy. We booked a four-person room, which had plenty of power outlets, an electric heater, and electric blankets. The room insulation and windproofing are more than adequate—no matter how strong the mountain wind gets, it won't bother you inside. Hot water is available 24/7 at the duty room. If you are heading up the mountain with family, especially elderly members, and plan to hike all the peaks, staying overnight is worth considering, plus you'll have a chance to catch a sunrise or a sea of clouds if the weather is good the next day. As for dining, there's a place called Dongdong Ji right next to the accommodation; the food is good, their fried rice and stir-fried dishes are tasty, and they also serve breakfast starting at 6:00 AM.

Right next to the Dongfeng Viewing Platform for sunrise, making it super convenient to watch the sunrise. There are also plenty of food options and shops nearby. The beds offer good privacy, and you can even rent coats right there. Overall, a fantastic experience.

The signage was unclear. The hotel stay was fine, the room was clean, and the best part was how easy it was to watch the sunrise in the morning, with several viewing platforms just a five-minute walk away. The public restrooms were also just a short walk. The only downside was being woken up in the early morning by non-guests.

The hotel boasts the best location for watching the sunrise from Dongfeng Peak, highly recommended!

The room was quite spacious and had a heater. Hot water was available from the duty room for free. We took the North Peak cable car up the mountain at 3 PM, hiked in the rain, and arrived at Chefeng Hotel around 6 PM. The next morning, we woke up at 5:40 AM to watch the sunrise. It was very convenient, only a three to five-minute walk from the hotel to the sunrise viewing spot.

Although small, the design is very well-thought-out. Considering the limited facilities available on the mountain, they still provided boiled water and heating equipment. I checked in on Mid-Autumn Festival, and the front desk staff even gave me a mooncake. Thank you!

This guesthouse is right next to 'Yawozi Fanshen' (Hawk Flipping Over), which is super convenient for watching the sunrise. The free hot water is a plus, but the sink is incredibly small, barely bigger than a child's potty! It was such a hassle to wash up. The toilet is a bit far away, outside, and there's always a queue. Also, two other male guests brought a man who sat by the door all night. I guess he couldn't find a hotel or something. Seriously, I was freaked out!
