Lamplighter Motel - Clinton, Connecticut

When I stay in this part of CT, I always stay at the Lamplighter. Every time I am there, Clean Room,Comfortable Bed. Good Air Conditioning, Everything Works, close to the highway, reasonable price, good restaurants within a quick walking distance, plus a fridge and microwave. I'll be back again in a few weeks.

We stayed here for 4 nights because we wanted to spend the days at Hammonasset Beach. For a bare bones motel, it was definitely worth the price. They were very nice and everything we wanted was close by. We would stay again.

Whenever I'm traveling thru Southern CT on business, the Lamplighter is my go to for staying over. Clean room. Comfortable bed, plenty of Hot Water, microwave and mini fridge, good TV. Reasonable price, close to the highway. Restaurants within walking distance. It has it all.

Do not walk, run. If you have no choice, throw a plastic tarp across the bed and hang your belongings in a bear bag from the ceiling. Tough to get comfortable in this place.

Horrible room, foul odor in the bathroom, and the door didn’t close, no soap, no tissues, no coffee maker. Run, don’t walk, away from this place.

Just need a place to sleep on a long trip. The unit was clean and the bed was comfortable

The room was clean bed was comfortable There was not microwave or coffee machine. Plugging in things it blew the outlet. They did fix it quickly.

Smell was musty, floors was freezing had to have heat on and didnt work well, not handicap friendly, nothing like the pics online. I know its was cheap but even the office smelled bad, not very friendly check in, fill this out, id, credit card and leave keys in box when check out..

Motel is old but everything works and it was quiet which is all I was looking for.
