No air conditioning. The room fan provides no air circulation, particularly downward air flow.

Lovely stay thanks to welcoming hosts, comfortable rooms, quirky touches, yummy breakfast (take yours out to the courtyard!). We stayed in a room facing the street which made it a bit noisy with open windows (helpful for nighttime breezes) but that added to the atmosphere. Plus if you are a fan of Game of Thrones, several Braavos market scenes were filmed in the vicinity and it was much more tame than that! Definitely arrive during business hours to get oriented and obtain detailed directions to the parking lot if you have a car along*. *we had success putting the shop “Eat Sleep Cycle” into the navigator. After crossing bridge that leads to ESC, turn right and then immediately left up the hill. Left again, following edge of park, and then stay straight to the final parking lot near University of Girona.

We stayed here for two nights and it is a very relaxed place to stay. The two owner/managers are very helpful and friendly, making you feel welcome from the start. The hotel is close to the cathedral, and we walked from the station which given the heat, was a bit of a challenge. If you are going anywhere and weather conditions an issue, they will arrange a taxi. But location wise, it is ideal to amble around the older quarter. Room was fine, no problem with sleep quality. For us, the lack of a TV was a bonus. They prepare a light breakfast in the morning, and sitting in the courtyard is a relaxed way to start your day. Happy to return and happier to recommend based on our experience.

Pensió Bellmirall is an authentic pension in the heart of old town Girona. The lobby was rustic and beautiful. The room was not luxurious, but quite comfortable, but make sure to bring earplug for a good night's sleep as the occasional motos are loud. The bathroom was tiny, but adequate. The breakfast courtyard was lovely and peaceful. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. We had a double room with balcony and eating take out italian on the tiny balcony was memorable. The morning coffee was strong providing a good kick start to your morning.

Stayed here over the weekend and we were so impressed! Perfect hotel for couples. We stayed in the double room with a private bathroom and it had everything we needed. Big comfortable bed, drawers, shower, hairdryer, small balcony. The decor is beautifully quaint. The breakfast was a delicious continental mix of pastries, cheeses, meats, fresh juice and Catalan toast on request. Cristine and all the staff were so kind and helpful! Located right next to the cathedral, it’s in the perfect location for sightseeing. Couldn’t recommend this more!

This must be the friendliest place that we have ever stayed! We thoroughly enjoyed three nights here over the New Year, and we were able to join-in with the festivities outside the Cathedral at midnight. Our room was comfortable. Christina and her team could not have been more attentive, and it was a great pleasure staying there. The situation is ideal - very near the Cathedral, and it was lovely hearing the bells chiming. A short walk away are the old city walls, and many other places of interest to explore. We found it easy to park opposite the University's faculty of letters in Plaça Ferrater i Mora (150m away and free) - an easy ten-minute walk. We shall return!

The innkeepers Christina and her husband told us all about the town, the cathedral, and the best restaurants. The other staff were also very friendly and helpful. Christina was very proud of her town and it showed. The rooms were small and cozy. The hotel was a block from the cathedral. The church bells were not a problem for us.

We spent the best two nights of our 3 week trip to Spain at this wonderful little centuries old hotel located next to the cathedral entrance (at the top of the 86 steps!!) and the amazing art museum. Chistina and Joaquin were so helpful and accommodating for a mobility impaired member of our party. As a 73 year old experienced traveler I have never experienced such genuine appreciation and affection for staff anywhere I have stayed! The cathedral bells are the ultimate heavenly touch when you stay at this very special gem.

We stayed one night in this beautiful house, situated at the heart of Girona’s old city quarter. The hostess could not have been more helpful. Lovely room, nice breakfast and a walk on the old city walls nearby… all so accessible from this lovely home! THANK YOU!
