We really enjoyed our 4 nights at The Adress at the end of the snow season (mid March 2026). John took care of our every need from running us to and from MyokoKogen station as well as to the slopes. Great location and having an onsen in the hotel was also appreciated after a day on the slopes.

Great location along Akakura town. Rooms are large enough to accommodate 2 persons each with a large luggage. Shower facilities are well thought out. Access to ski storage area via a flight of stairs can be challenging after a day of hard skiing. We decided to store our skis in our car and keep our boots in our room to keep them warm. Both John and Helen are wonderful hosts and very personal.

The room was wonderful and had everything we needed for a short snowboarding trip. The room was very clean and well-maintained, and I wished I had more time chilling in bed. Highly appreciate the thoughtful hosts, and we had a BLAST! 10000% would come back again

Stayed at the Address Akakura Onsen for 8 nights this February for a ski holiday. It’s conveniently located on the main road of the village about 5 minutes walk to Akakura Onsen gondola and within a stones throw if all the village restaurants. The apartment room for 2 was well appointed with a mix of western and Japanese furnishings. Was great being able to have breakfast in our room each morning before heading out on the mountain. It also has an onsen which was perfect for relaxing our tired muscles after a day of skiing. The hotel offers free shuttles to and from 3 other mountains for guests which was fantastic. Helen and John were perfect hosts and the shuttle drivers were all lovely. Highly recommend this hotel for your Myoko ski experience!

The hotel itself is located in the centre of where all the action is, you're surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Akakura, so many hidden gems. The Akakura Onsen ski resort is basically across the road, you could throw a rock & hit it nearly. Next door is Myoko Snowsports for all your ski hire & Uchida Ski Sports is across the road who will do overnight board waxing as well as any other servicing needs. The Address really is has everything you need for enjoying an amazing experience in beautiful snowy mountains of Japan. The hotel room we stayed in was perfect for our young family of 5 & the room was well looked after & maintained. The hotel staff here are all absolutely lovely, they're warm & very accommodating. Nothing was ever an issue & they went out of their way to make us feel right at home. The hotel owner is simply fantastic & by the end of our stay we felt more like family than we did just clients, it was actually really sad to say goodbye on our last day. I cannot recommend The Address Akakura more highly & I wish them all the very best. We will be back! Hopefully sooner rather than later...next season maybe! :D

The room was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Helen the manager often went above and beyond to meet the needs of guests. The environment was relaxed. The location was close to ski slopes and they also provided a free shuttle which was a plus.

Location location location! It is in the heart of the town giving fantastic access to the whole town. It was a very short walk to and from the ski lift. our room was 404 on the top floor and had a beautiful outlook of the mountain range, it was a very clean and large room and being self contained was ideal for staying in and cooking meals after a long day skiing. A few Minutes walk up the road and we had hired our ski gear at Aoyama Sports Main street ( great quality gear and staff were very helpful) and at night within minutes we were eating at our favourite restaurants. Alot of the restaurants did not take bookings so we turned up before opening and got in. Literally across the street was a very well stocked convenience store for basic meals and snacks. The ski room was large and was well ventilated ensuring the gear was dry by the next morning. Helen the owner who manages the front desk saw to all our needs throughout our stay, she was very friendly and engaging overall for our first time skiing in Myoko we were very impressed would definitely stay here again

The Address is a lovely place to stay in Akakura. John and Helen were very welcoming, communication was great. Their free shuttle service from and to the local train station was helpful. Our room was nice, very clean. We had breakfast in their dining room during our stay as there are limited options in Akakura for breakfast so a good bonus. We would definitely be staying there again.

The location is great.. but it’s noisy. In our experience leading up to the stay communication was great. And if we needed to contact the manager/owner, Helen she was responsive. We were traveling in a group of 2 families with young(ish) children 5,9,11 and 13 and whilst the rooms are great they are not big enough to hang out in. We noticed that the dining area was often free and asked if we could play some board games in there if no one was using it. we were told no, that was where the staff hang out. We were offered the bar area, but it’s obviously not ideal for families and often the staff were in there also. Dinner was expensive and it was ok. The team are essentially travelers/ back packers and whilst the food was ok, I certainly think there are better options and I wouldn’t recommend. Keeping in mind this is one of the most expensive places to stay in Myoko, our rooms were not serviced, despite having the service request on the door. Which meant our bins weren’t emptied for 5 days. During our stay the hot water failed - so we had to have cold showers. $100 was offered as compensation off about a $5k bill (6 nights)
