OYO Hotel Liberal, Kansas

They require a $50.00 security deposit which I didn’t quite understand. When I returned my door key card when I left and before they inspected the room, I got my deposit credited to my account. Apparently, requiring the deposit was insurance so they got the key card back.

The hotel was staff was horrible. After paying through *******, they wanted a deposit of $50 and would not take a credit card, finally, they said they would accept a credit card, but would charge and extra fee, not refundable. I stayed many times over the past 10 years, and they never charged a deposit previously. I found dates and charges for the hotel, but they claimed I had never stayed there before-said they looked through there system. ******* needs to make it clear this hotel charges an additional cash deposit upon arrival. At other hotels, they may ask for a credit card and put a hold on the card, but release it when you leave. Not here, they want to charge the credit, then charge a non-refundable fee for using a card as a deposit.

Very small room for 2 people. If someone wants a cheap place to stay this place will do.

Clean and peaceful. The following I have never encountered: They demand a $50.00 deposit. If you pay by credit card, they charge you 3.5%. (Paid $52.00 and got credited $50.00 upon departure.)

This hotel is what you can expect for the price you pay. The room is clean. The bedding is clean and the bed is comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. The room is not large and this is not a resort, but if your main objective is to sleep and then get an early start, this hotel will meet your needs.

I booked a king bed & paid extra, it was a a full or queen. There is NO secondary locks on the inside of the room. As a single woman I did not feel safe & brought it up and asked to cancel. The manager seemed agitated by it & blew it off. I will not ever go back.

The front staff and reception was very nice. The room was adequate, clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Excellent bargain. Nice clean room. The manager was polite and helpful. This is a check in at the window situation. It was quick and easy. Don’t expect to go in the lobby. I think they have got it right. They are good people. The property was very well lit. It was a quick choice to stay there after other accommodations fell through. It was a good decision. I was able to spend more on entertainment rather than being poor due to paying 3 times as much for the room. I will be staying there on future trips. Clean, safe ,needs repairs. If your own home is perfect feel free to give it a pass. They don’t need the criticism.

Charged us 20 extra bucks for having 3 people. Very rude check in
