The environment and hygiene were very satisfactory. The subway station is right outside, which is super convenient. Hotel manager Li Jing upgraded us to a panoramic view room for free, and we could see the Oriental Pearl Tower from our room – it was fantastic!

Renaissance Yu Garden: Just 160 meters from Yu Garden Station on lines 10/14. I recommend exiting from Exit 1 or 3A; it's just a short walk to the hotel, no detours needed. The hotel's location is truly excellent; it's right across from Yu Garden Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. This hotel is an older establishment that used to cater to international guests, and you can still feel that classic, old-world charm, with many foreign guests around. However, the facilities are indeed quite dated. While they still function, a renovation is definitely due. I must commend the service; it was genuinely fantastic. During check-in, I added Ellen, who helped me, on WeChat. I needed her assistance with something that very evening, and she went above and beyond to help me out in a pinch. I'm truly grateful!

Extremely satisfied! The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and spacious, with amazing views of the Bund's 'Three-Piece Suit' (oriental pearl, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai Tower). We could also spot the 'Big Pineapple' (the Peninsular Hotel) and Jin Mao Tower. Highly recommend this place!

The subway entrance is right outside, and you can walk to Nanjing Road, Yu Garden, and the City God Temple to try authentic Shanghai snacks.
