Frontier Suites Hotel in Juneau

The room was not very clean. There was hair in the bathtub caulking around the bathtub is horrible. The furnishings are something homeless people might not even sit on, but the shuttle to from the airport was great.

The whole place, especially the rooms could use a good dusting and carpet and upholstey shampooing. Our bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned, and one of the towels was dirty. As if they just folded it and put it back after someone used it (had blood or poo streak on it). Toilet was dirty too. Other than that, the property had everything we needed including a free airport shuttle. Could have used a regular coffee packet in the room, it only came with decaf.

Rooms are big with full blown kitchen. If the rooms have air conditioners then Frontier suites will be unbeatable. Very nearer to all the attractions and amenities.

Very large rooms, almost big enough to be called an apartment. Full kitchenette with dishes, stove, dishwasher. Closets and dressers too! Perhaps a bit vintage but comfortable beds and very convenient access to airport via the shuttle.

While the staff was very friendly, particularly with the pick up from the airport (although the hotel is within walking distance), the building is not very nice and smelled funny. Expensive for the place.

This review is mostly for the benefit of the management of Frontier Suites. This is my preferred go-to accommodation in Juneau. The Queen Suite is a great deal and very comfortable with a separate bedroom, sitting room, and kitchen. Housekeeping leaves much to be desired. Wife and I stayed for two nights recently. One wash cloth. No pad or pen to make notes to housekeeping to request another cloth. Conveyed the request through the front desk, and to the housekeeping manager who wanted to know if we wanted service during our stay. They picked up the towels, left the old washcloth on the tub, and left us a bag of towels with no washcloths. Did not bother to unpack the towels and put them in the bathroom ... just left a bag of towels on the desk. Not great service. No tissues in the room anywhere. No coffee in the lobby, and just one coffee pack with the room. I asked the desk to have housekeeping give us more. Nothing left for us. To their credit, the front desk does have everything you might need. (The tiny bottle of shampoo left for two people would not last two nights). You just have to go down and get it. Get your housekeeping service focused on customer service, and you will get more stars from me.

I was assigned a room with kitchenette which was not at all clean. The front desk person immediately came and cleaned it. Appreciated that. Had a decent stay, close to the airport.

The hotel has various pockets of very, very strong room deodorizers. I have a bad sniffer, so if I can smell it...it must be strong. You get hit with it when you walk into the lobby, and then scents change as you move into different hallways. It makes one wonder what they are covering up. The TV took a while to warm up and turn on. I think the hotel needs a remodel or to be turned into apartments. The units were big.
