Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa (Marriott International)

This is by far the best hotel I've stayed in for years. Its proximity to the airport makes it an excellent choice for a first stop. The food and the views are fantastic, and the service is incredibly warm and attentive. You can truly feel the thought and care put into every detail of this hotel.

The room facilities are very new, and the hotel environment is beautiful. It's quite close to the airport, which was convenient as I had an early flight the next day. The hotel has its own clean, uncrowded beach, making it a great choice if you're traveling with kids and just want to relax at the hotel and play on the sand. For meals or grocery shopping, the hotel provides a tuk-tuk service every 50 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes in the evening. By the way, the pizza place nearby is pretty good, and there's also an elephant feeding experience with two elephants, which was quite fun.

Definitely avoid the Lagoon Room, everything else is fine. For meals, you can either eat at the hotel or take their tuk-tuk to go out.

The hotel has a great view and the service is excellent. My only minor complaint is that the ecosystem is a bit *too* good, so there were quite a few geckos around. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the commercial street, which is convenient for going out to eat or grocery shopping.

The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive to all our needs. At breakfast, they proactively offered coffee refills, and our room was tidied up meticulously and thoughtfully every day. A big thank you to Uma! The room decor was quite modern, and there were several spacious meeting rooms. Breakfast was decent, especially the eggs with crab meat – a fantastic touch. The gym equipment was comprehensive. As for the daily activities, if you wanted to participate, they were very enthusiastic and helpful. They also offered Punchbowl at a set time every day, which was delicious; I highly recommend checking it out, as it wasn't crowded when we were there. There are two restaurants inside: a Thai restaurant and a Western one. The Western restaurant was quite good, but the Thai one was just okay. I had read reviews on other platforms saying it was exceptionally tasty, but I found the flavors weren't as rich as I expected.

Had an early flight the next day, so I chose a hotel close to the airport, and the Renaissance was a pleasant surprise! The room was new and very clean. The private beach was absolutely stunning with great natural scenery. The Thai restaurant on the second floor was delicious. They even gave me an aromatherapy candle when I checked out.

The hotel is quiet, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The beach boasts a long coastline. The breakfast is healthy and plentiful, with many options. The biggest plus is the staff – everyone from the front desk to the restaurant and cleaning crew is welcoming and polite. The airport is nearby, about an 18-minute drive. There are restaurants at the nearby intersection, but not many attractions. If you're looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway, this is a great choice.

Facilities: Comprehensive and new, with a fantastic breakfast! Especially the brunch. There's even a Starbucks inside the hotel. Cleanliness: Spotless and meets Marriott standards. Environment: Excellent, with a large, uncrowded beach. Service: Great.
