Alila Shanghai

This was my first stay at Alila Shanghai, and it was incredibly comfortable. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the beautiful water courtyard, which was very relaxing. Serena recommended we check out the small garden on the fifth floor, and it offered a stunning view of the entire courtyard – truly lovely. The bedding was so comfortable; I actually got some rare deep sleep. It was a very satisfying trip to Shanghai, and I look forward to my next visit!

My friend recommended Alila Shanghai, so I decided to stay here this time. The experience was truly fantastic. The location is perfectly situated in a quiet spot amidst the bustling city, making me feel incredibly relaxed. The Japanese-inspired design is very minimalist and clean. Our butler, Liora, provided truly excellent service. In the afternoon, guests also get complimentary snacks and a cocktail. Breakfast was amazing too; I was so happy to find savory douhua, tofu pudding, and yellow croaker noodles!

Feeling a bit down lately, so I booked a staycation at Alila. My butler, Chloe, was incredibly attentive, and the Luodao class experience was really good. Overall, the stay was very relaxing for both my mind and body. The afternoon tea on the second day was also great, both in taste and presentation.

My recent stay at Alila Shanghai completely exceeded expectations; it's truly a hidden oasis in the bustling city. The hotel perfectly blends Eastern Zen aesthetics with Shanghai's distinctive charm. The use of natural wood and rattan, combined with soft lighting, immediately made the city's noise vanish the moment I stepped in. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning views of Jing'an, and the guest room was fully equipped, with thoughtful details like premium toiletries and sleep aids. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful and comfortable stay. My personal butler, Ms. Liora, provided gentle and attentive service throughout. She proactively reached out before check-in to understand my needs, guided me upon arrival, and responded instantly to any inquiries. She thoughtfully recommended local eateries and attractions, striking the perfect balance – never intrusive, yet always there to help. Her kind and patient demeanor was truly heartwarming. Upon checkout, Liora specially gifted me a hotel-customized lemon and thyme sachet. The fabric pouch felt luxurious, and the scent was fresh and calming, a gentle, non-overpowering herbal fragrance that was incredibly soothing. It's perfect for carrying in my bag or placing by my bedside, and every time I smell it, I'll be reminded of this wonderful, comfortable trip. Overall, the service was thoughtful and meticulous, the environment elegant and serene. Ms. Liora's attentive service and the delightful sachet were the biggest highlights of this stay. I highly recommend it whether for a vacation or a business trip, and I'll definitely choose Alila again next time I'm in Shanghai!

Hygiene: Excellent, no dust or water stains. Environment: Quiet despite being centrally located, within walking distance to HKRI Taikoo Hui's LV store (shaped like a cruise ship) and Zhangyuan. Service: I was guided by staff from the moment I stepped out of the car, and the front desk reception was warm and polite. Minibar: The sparkling water and sugar-free Coke were good. My cousin enjoyed their nuts. Personally, I'd suggest offering two different types of beer for selection. Afternoon Tea: One drink and one cream ice cream cone (refillable) (average, can take it or leave it).

The stay was pleasant. The commercial area downstairs was very convenient. The butler was also very attentive and arranged a high-floor room with a great view. Breakfast was just okay, but there was a good variety. There were complimentary cocktails and desserts during the evening ritual, but I missed it because I went to meet friends. When I went swimming in the morning, there were very few people, so I had the whole pool to myself.

The hotel boasts a high-end, tranquil environment with comprehensive facilities and professional, attentive service. Our butler, Bella, was incredibly warm and thoughtful, always quick to resolve any requests efficiently. Our stay was absolutely perfect, and I highly recommend it!

First off, the hotel entrance is quite hidden, tucked away behind a shopping mall. However, once you step inside, you immediately get a sense of luxury, making it perfect for a staycation. The room layout was fantastic for my girlfriend and me, exactly our style. Check-in was super fast, and I have to give a special shout-out to our butler, Liora, who was incredibly responsive to all our questions. It was a very pleasant stay, and I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.

Stayed in the city with my mom for a few days and loved the hotel's design. The semi-buffet breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of exquisite dishes – the sea cucumber noodles were especially delicious! The fruit quality was also excellent.
