This hotel seems to be the furthest one on the hot spring street. I arrived at 2:45 PM, but they insisted that check-in was strictly at 3:00 PM, not a minute earlier. This perfectly fits the stereotype of rigidly adhering to rules in unimportant situations. The salmon at breakfast was frozen, definitely not fresh. The mountain view rooms all face the road, so you can't see the lake, but there's not much traffic, so noise isn't a major issue. Now that I've mentioned the downsides, everything else was great. I booked a mountain view room for 300 a night, including breakfast, which was a really good deal.

The views of Lake Toya are excellent, and the restaurant serves delicious food with a rich buffet. The room was adequate. The front desk staff offer service in Japanese, Chinese, and English, which was a huge convenience. The price was also relatively reasonable. It's close to the bus stop.

Great value for money compare to other fancier options near the lake. We got the lake view room and the view is excellent. There is firework around 845pm every day during summer time which completes the Japan summer experience.

A dated place. Old fashioned tap mixer and door set. Toilet very small and the door cannot even open fully. Worst, there's still a step to it. Have to be very careful, specially with the wet floor after the shower. They claimed it's a mountain view, it's just trees actually - cannot even see far! Bed was uncomfortable with only a small pillow. The floor at the men onsen is very disgusting! It's a far cry from the photos here. Don't recommend at all!

Upgraded to a room with lovely lake Toya view. The small hot spring onsen was a nice surprise. However, the floor of the room was worn and squeaks.

Beautiful view facing the lake Toya. Unfortunately we had the fireworks in a foggy night. The stay is good but the varieties of food can be slightly improved
