The guy who checked me in came across as a bit snobbish. I'm not sure if it was because I'm a woman or Asian, but I noticed he was all smiles when assisting some Western male guests and Western people in general.
One time I asked for a spare key because I accidentally left mine in the room. The lady who helped me didn't seem pleased. She murmured something to her colleague, they both looked at me, and then laughed. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I asked if I could switch to the lower bed since the steps to mine were a bit high for me, and there were at least four people who had checked out, leaving a few lower beds open. The receptionist told me they were fully booked, but no one even checked in until late afternoon the next day.
My room was so hot. The AC placement was not well thought out.
The location of this hostel though is great and that they have different activities every day at night.
Oh, and if you forgot your towels, you can rent them there for 250 Thai baht, I think.
