As it turned out the very positive reviews confirm the right decision to stay at Yangshuo Chuxin Homestay. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt calm, genuine, and deeply connected to the Yulong River countryside. The homestay sits in a beautifully quiet pocket of Chaolong, surrounded by rice fields and karst peaks, yet still close enough to food, transport, and cycling routes.
The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows that let in soft morning light and the sounds of rural Yangshuo waking up. The hosts were warm, attentive, and sincere — the kind of hospitality that doesn’t feel forced but comes naturally.
What truly sets this place apart is its photography-friendly location. Sunrise spots, misty valleys, and peaceful river paths are all within minutes. It’s the perfect base for anyone who wants to experience the real Yangshuo, not the tourist version.
Next to the Homestay is a electric scooter rental which is so very convenient. I rented one for 3 days to travel as far as Wuzhi-shan, Laozhai-shan and to the various scenic areas.
A wonderful stay — peaceful, convenient, and full of charm.
