A very romantic hotel, a complete tribute to Proust's Belle Époque, with all kinds of interesting and lovely details, the almond flavor that Proust liked, the shower gel that is reproduced in the hotel, and the special cocktails that pay tribute to Proust, a warm and luxurious little universe, no need to elaborate, just arrive here and open your senses to enjoy. The entire hotel team is extremely enthusiastic and sincere, and can be said to be considerate. The hotel is located in the Marais area, which is good for shopping, eating and shopping, and it is not touristy. It is a real Parisian life experience. The only thing to be reminded is that the room is slightly small like all Paris hotels. But the hotel facilities are very new.

This place has a weird vibe. Upon check-in we were given 20 minute art tour (I just wanted to go to my room). The pool was odd. It is a small lap pool where one had to reserve the pool for one hour, and one was only allowed to reserve for one hour a day. Additionally the pool room locked so you can enjoy the pool in private. I understand it being weird as it is in the 3rd, but wow. On the positive side service was very attentive and the people watching in the bar on Saturday night was wild..

We booked a week-long stay at this hotel to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday in Paris. It was going to be my first trip to Europe in 15 years and I was very excited. Shortly before our arrival, Paris was placed under excessive heat warnings, with record-setting forecast temperatures hovering around 100°F for 7 straight days. Given that our plans involved walking, outdoor sightseeing, cafes, and exploring the city, we contacted the hotel to ask for the ability to rebook given the extraordinary circumstances. We were not expecting a refund. We just wanted the ability to rebook. We were flat out rejected. What was most disappointing was the response from management. The manager stated several demeaning things like he “cannot control the weather” and “other guests are ok with the heat” and “Paris is vibrant” and “our rooms have A/C”. Excellent hospitality professionals treat others as they wish to be treated. They treat them as family. Not the case at this company. As a business owner myself, I fully understand that the hotel has the contractual right to enforce its cancellation policy. My disappointment is not with the policy. It is with the complete lack of accommodation from a boutique hotel that promotes personalized service and guest care. Luxury service is tested when things don’t go according to plan. In our case, the answer was simply “no” at every turn. The way they handled my case makes it abundantly clear their bottom line is vastly more important to them than their reputation or guest satisfaction. Potential guests should be aware that if circumstances change, even due to an exceptional event affecting the city, they should not expect any accommodation beyond the strict terms of the reservation. We chose this hotel expecting the service and relationship-oriented approach typically associated with boutique hospitality. Unfortunately, that was not our experience whatsoever.

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights at Maison Proust last week and it was a great experience. The entire hotel including the rooms and the common areas were extremely clean and quiet. The breakfast was simple though delicious and the coffee was great. The bar offers a good selection of drinks and the lobby area including the round library are designed with great taste. We got to have the spa reserved for the two of us for an hour. What we liked most was utmost coordination among the staff members, they were super nice and friendly and extremely helpful. We were trying to find tickets to a performance at Palais Garnier and they were able to get us two great seats even though in general it is not easy to do this without reservation made well ahead of time. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Temple and République stations.

This small and lovely hotel is perfectly located in the Marais, close to bistros and shops. The staff is very friendly. The underground pool and steam bath are a wonderful way to relax in a beautiful atmosphere. The rooms are on the small size but this is Paris!

When in Paris, I usually rent an apartment in the Marais. For a variety of reasons, I decided to stay at a hotel for this visit. Staying at Maison Proust was a dream! I was in Paris for a combination of business and visiting a dear friend. It was a nonstop trip, full of meetings, activities, events and socializing every day. Having my frenzied days start and end at Maison Proust was the perfect solo escape. The entire staff is beyond exceptional, the design details are perfect and the rooms are peaceful. I was even able to squeeze in an hour at the Salon d’Eau one early evening in between commitments, which felt like radical indulgence. Thank you to the entire team at Maison Proust for making my stay absolutely perfect.

This past week we spent five nights at Maison Proust, and, quite honestly, our stay was nothing less than perfect. This was our second stay at Maison Proust, and at each stay both the service and attention to detail were superb. The owner and staff ensure that nothing is left to chance! The deluxe rooms are certainly not big, and while one can find larger rooms in Paris at similar rates, I can assure you that one would be hard pressed to find rooms with such stunning décor. Truly, both the rooms and common spaces transport one back to Paris’ Belle Époque, and celebrate the period’s most famous writer, Marcel Proust. The Maison Proust offers a wonderful respite from the bustle and cacophony that makes Paris, well…Paris! Enjoy your stay. You won’t be disappointed!

We stayed in the Renoir Room and felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The staff are fantastic, the bar is beautiful, and having Colin Field bartend on the Friday was a real treat—world-class cocktails and such a gentleman. Breakfast was included and was the perfect, relaxing start to each day. The location in Le Marais is ideal—safe, charming, and full of great restaurants, with excellent recommendations from the hotel. We also used the Salon d’Eau twice, and having a private pool and hammam felt wonderfully indulgent. We loved absolutely everything about our stay and can’t wait to return.
