OMO5 Kyoto Gion by Hoshino Resorts

This was my second time staying at OMO5. The location is excellent. The staff member who helped us check in on the afternoon of January 13, 2026 wasn’t very enthusiastic, but she completed the check-in efficiently, so no major complaints. A shower cap was not provided, which was a bit inconvenient. I really loved the scent of the shampoo. I stayed on the 4th floor, and there was still some noise from pedestrian signals/machines outside. The room was spacious and well equipped with a microwave, kettle, and dishwasher. The room was also very clean.

Convenient location, clean and nice design. The only issue is there are staircases on both sides of entrance, it’s not friendly enough when you need to carry luggage.

WiFi is fast, not many amenities, normal cleaning every two nights and no window in the room! I stayed 3 nights and felt ok if you need a recommendation depends on the price.

Suite was great.

Very good location, surrounding by many restaurant and walking location to many hotspots and convenient bus stop from Kyoto station.

The morning tour was conducted in Japanese unfortunately which made it difficult to understand even there is an English pack prepared by the hotel. The room is huge and we love it. Very clean as well.

Msg them about my earpods that I left behind, don't get any reply. Msg them before the trip about baby cot, also no reply. Disappointing service
