Jumeirah Guangzhou

Wonderful hotel with a lovely Arabian oasis vibe. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the high ceilings and natural lighting are stunning. Breakfast was a treat, featuring live harp music and teddy bears placed at the tables to keep you company. A true hidden gem in the city—perfect for a staycation. Highly recommended!

I specifically stayed near the Grand Theatre to watch a play and discovered this hidden gem of a hotel! My experience these past few days was fantastic. First and foremost, cleanliness and a comfortable bed are my top priorities when choosing a hotel, and this one delivered! Secondly, the location is superb! Everything is pretty much within walking distance, which I love. I enjoy exploring a new city on foot, but not having to walk too far is a bonus. Song Chuan Cuisine is right next door in Dong Plaza, and Bingsheng Mansion is just a few minutes' walk away. You can cross the skybridge to enter K11 opposite, then take the Kaihua skybridge down to Bingsheng – it's nice and cool walking through the mall. From the 3rd floor of Dong Plaza, you can take a walkway to Qiu Plaza, then catch the APM line for a few minutes to Tianhuan Plaza. The hotel service was excellent; they delivered fruit and sweet soup daily. The dried tangerine peel and hawthorn sweet soup was deliciously tart and sweet! The seasonal floral arrangements everywhere were also beautiful. Since there were so many great restaurants nearby, I only tried the hotel's lunch desserts, and they were all delicious. The hotel's pastry chef must be very talented. Next time, I'll definitely try their afternoon tea, which I'm sure will be great.

In the luxury hotel landscape of Guangzhou, Jumeirah has always been a understated player. It doesn't perch atop Guangzhou like Rosewood or Four Seasons, dominating with commanding tower views, nor does it possess the trending ambiance or master designs of Park Hyatt or Mandarin Oriental. Yet, without vying for attention, it consistently garners many excellent reviews. I found its overall appeal to be comprehensive, warm, and attentive. I booked a unique duplex suite, but upon arrival at 4 PM, no room was immediately available. Instead of making me wait, the front desk immediately offered an upgrade to a two-level higher, Guangzhou Tower View Executive Suite. This initial upgrade was a pleasant surprise. James from the hotel explained their service philosophy to me, and I truly felt that sense of care and service dedication towards guests. My 03-ending tower view suite was very spacious and well-laid out. The tower view was glimpsed through the gaps of the APM building, offering a somewhat veiled, 'pipa half-hidden' charm compared to a direct view of the Canton Tower. While the room's design isn't as distinct as MO or Rosewood, it prioritizes comfort, featuring wood, lattice, and orange accents that are still very appealing and comfortable. The service was a highlight. From the doormen, lobby staff, front desk, to housekeeping, everyone was polite and smiling. Guest relations added me on WeChat and responded quickly. When I asked the gym front desk staff about the outdoor pool, they didn't just point the way; they enthusiastically escorted me, taking the elevator, changing floors, and walking through an entire floor to the apartment's outdoor pool. The harp performance during breakfast was indeed delightful, and while the food variety wasn't extensive, it was exquisite. Overall, Jumeirah truly surprised me this time, adding another excellent option for my Guangzhou staycations.

First off, a huge thank you to Ctrip for the complimentary room upgrade via the WOW benefits! The hotel's location is fantastic—just cross the pedestrian bridge and you're right at Huacheng Square, with tons of great restaurants within a 1-kilometer radius. The two hanging fuchsia displays in the lobby are gorgeous and carry a lovely symbolic meaning. The room layout is well-thought-out, flowing seamlessly from the living room to the walk-in closet and into the bedroom. The attention to detail is remarkable: there’s a shower stool in the bathroom, and tissue boxes are conveniently placed everywhere within easy reach. Most importantly, the service is truly exceptional. We didn't have to queue at the front desk for check-in; instead, we could relax in the lounge area. Every staff member greeted us warmly, making us feel completely welcomed. Our room was fully prepared upon arrival, complete with thoughtful birthday decorations, an extra bed, and a full set of amenities for three. We also received daily welcome fruits, complimentary minibar items, and sweet soup (tong sui), plus food delivery can be brought straight to your room. Even though we stayed during the Golden Week holiday, there was virtually no wait for the elevators and zero line for breakfast, which made for a wonderful experience. Although we didn't have a full view of the Canton Tower—a slight pity given the floor-to-ceiling windows—I still give this hotel a solid 5 out of 5 and highly recommend it!

I have to give a huge thumbs up to this hotel! The moment I walked in, I was truly impressed. The sense of space is incredible, completely lacking the cramped feeling of a typical hotel. The natural light is also excellent; the sunshine streaming in during the day makes it feel so airy and bright. Resting in such a spacious environment really lifts your mood. The hygiene was impeccable, and the hotel staff were incredibly friendly. Our butler, Sophia, was warm and attentive. It's a shame we only stayed for one night this time. I'll definitely choose Jumeirah again on my next visit to Guangzhou.

Choosing this hotel for our three-night National Day trip was definitely the right decision! They upgraded my room for free, and the butler service was available 24/7, providing incredibly fast and high-quality assistance. I called ahead to let them know a friend was celebrating a birthday, and they surprised us with a cake and birthday decorations. The hotel's Western restaurant served incredibly fresh and delicious food, especially the steak – highly recommended! Every evening, they offered a complimentary sweet soup, which was a lovely, heartwarming touch and helped me sleep even better. I highly recommend this hotel!

Hygiene: Clean Environment: Convenient for dining, with many famous restaurants nearby. Service: The breakfast was very average, which was a bit disappointing. Previously, when I visited Guangzhou, I hadn't noticed Jumeirah; I usually focused on staying at Mandarin Oriental, Conrad, or Ritz-Carlton. This time, I discovered Jumeirah, and given my excellent experience at Jumeirah hotels in Dubai last summer, I was full of anticipation for Jumeirah Guangzhou. The Jumeirah hotel in Dubai is currently among my top three favorite hotels I've ever stayed in. However, the hotel's design in Guangzhou made me uncomfortable. Ctrip had supposedly upgraded my room, and my Ctrip butler even confirmed the upgraded room type for me. But I really didn't like the upgraded room; it was a fan-shaped room where the bed was right by the door, and I found this layout very awkward. I don't understand how it's supposed to be better than a deluxe king room. Furthermore, the hotel's breakfast was my biggest disappointment this time. There were very few options, and they were poorly prepared. The plain congee didn't even have pickled vegetables, and we didn't even go to breakfast that late. The watermelon juice ran out, and the bottle remained empty without anyone refilling it. We were seated in a secluded area, and no one paid attention to us. Our finished plates piled up, and no one came to clear them. Overall, the hotel was okay, but compared to a luxury hotel or Jumeirah Dubai, it was very subpar.

The location is convenient, right at the foot of Canton Tower. My room and the one opposite were door-to-door, and the hallway was incredibly narrow. This layout was quite a surprise, haha. The room felt small due to its long, narrow shape, and the shower facilities weren't great. I'd suggest adding a light-blocking strip to the window, otherwise, the curtains can't fully block the sun, which affects sleep in the morning. Breakfast was semi-buffet, and the food variety was a bit limited. I was surprised that the semi-buffet menu didn't include rice noodle rolls (腸粉) or shrimp dumplings (蝦餃). The service was good; the staff were attentive and responsive. Perhaps due to hardware limitations, there was no robot service. Overall, for this price point, there's definitely room for improvement. It's still a recommended place for a visit, but I'd suggest skipping the hotel breakfast and eating out instead for a better experience.

We chose to stay at Jumeirah for the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the experience was fantastic. The service is among the best for hotels in the same category – consistently attentive and very thoughtful. The fact that they deliver takeout directly to your room is particularly impressive. I recall only the villa rooms at St. Regis Sanya offering this kind of butler-delivered room service for takeout; other similar hotels usually require you to pick it up yourself.
