Thought I had booked but only realised I had not at arrival but there was a very comfortable room available. We had time to thoroughly enjoy a walk around the extensive grounds including the wonderful kitchen garden from where so many great ingredients for our dinner came. The room had everything that one needs and the bed extremely comfortable. We had a super meal in the contemporary bistro and, like all we met, the staff were incredibly good and kind! So near to Calais makes it a perfect spot for those from midlands/north crossing the channel for a night’s stop over.

This was a great location to spend our last night before heading back to the UK following a tour of France. Just 40 mins from the tunnel it is perfect and they send you on your way with a fantastic breakfast. The grounds are lovely and the spa is great for a relaxing few hours. We had a delux room ( no 2) with terrace which was spacious and the bed was very comfy. The toto loo didn’t work and the shower overflows but as we were only staying one night we didn’t raise this with the hotel. We ate in the 2* Michelin restaurant which was exceptional. The attention in the bar was poor and would have made our stay much better. The tables needed cleaning, and we were left twice for 20 minutes having asked for drinks menus which doesn’t sound like much but when you’ve been driving for 4 hours is a lot. We would stay again as the price is good for such a nice spot and so convenient for an onward journey to the UK following.

Amazing place and great food, the bistro is actually better than the main restaurant. Very well run and good staff! Would cost much more if more south !

We had a truly disappointing meal and service at the Michelin starred restaurant. the quality of the food was not to the standard expected. The menu was charged at £350 a head. On arrival we were served 6 tini blinis and a small container with local caviar and a glass of champagne. we thought it was the amuse bouche. We later discovered that we were charged £250 extra for this. We are also charged £60 for extra truffle we never requested. We were overcharged on drinks we never ordered or consumed and the wine I had ordered was added to our bill with an additional £50 compared to the wine list. We had to wait 1 hour for the first course and during the evening had to regularly pour our own drinks. I wrote to the hotel after our visit to ask for an apology and a refund and I'm still waiting after 3 days to hear back.

As ever, staff, room and dining experience were all excellent. The quality of the hotel and its great location close to the Autoroute make this a super stop over on our travels. Looking forward to our next stay!

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights over the new year at the Chateau de Beaulieu. The room was spacious and comfortable. We ate the first 2 nights at the brasserie. The food and service was good and we looked forward to our New Year’s dinner in the Michelin star restaurant. The 7 course menu was prepaid at €350 a head. We were seated at 8.30 in the restaurant. We ordered water and after 20 minutes we were served a glass of Taittinger champagne and a small tub of local caviar and 6 small blinis. It seemed like part of the menu and we assumed that it was the amuse bouche. We ordered wine and had to wait 1 hour for the first course to arrive. Throughout the evening we had to repeatedly serve our own drinks as we seemed to have been forgotten. The food was pretty average. For the meat course we had chicken and after we had started eating a member of staff came to grate some tasteless truffle over the dish ( which was already half eaten). The shock came the next day when settling the bill. The caviar and champagne was charged €250. The tasteless truffle €60. We were also charged 2 extra glasses of champagne at €96 and €45 more than the list price of the wine and €140 for a brunch we never had. I understand that certain dishes are extra charged but one should inform the customer and give the customer the choice. I would have never ordered the caviar or the extra truffle. I ended up paying €310 extra on food I never ordered. I felt very disappointed overall

Serene, beautiful place with easy parking (and EV charging), welcoming staff, comfortable rooms (go for Superior) at reasonable price, excellent brasserie with attentive staff and innovative menu. Also good pool, nice walks, interesting shop.

We chose this Chateau for a 3 Night Stay. Our Suite was lovely - the Staff in Reception and the Bistro were extremely friendly, helpful and polite. Having stayed in Relais Chateau Hotels often we were disappointed that some of the toiletries were not replaced each day and with the Standard of cleanliness /housekeeping in certain areas. The beautiful room where the Bar is located should be named ‘The Spider Bar’! The tall Windows were covered in Spider Webs inside and out with Spiders hanging from them. There were several spiders along the floor and we had to ask one of the Waiters to get rid of them - he stamped on them in front of us - as the sun was shining through the windows you could see cobwebs and spiders underneath the chairs? This Bar needs a total clean from top to bottom. We appreciate this Hotel is in the Country , however, having walked past a room for 3 days on our way to the lift and seeing a probably dead spider outside on the door frame you would think House keeping would notice? The food in the Bistro was excellent however we were disappointed with the Gastronomy Meal - in other Relais Chateau Hotels the waiters are experienced in speaking English and can explain each dish and how it is cooked to the customer - and from what we saw during our stay you have a lot of English Clientele visiting you! Having to pay 35 Euros extra ?? for Breakfast and finding scrambled eggs which had been in the Hot Plate since probably 7am not Relais Chateau Standard!
