Our Jungle Camp

We had such a great time here!! The staff were super friendly, especially the restaurant team, they made sure we started and ended every day with a smile, which really made a difference. The lodge was surprisingly comfortable for being in the jungle. Everything was well thought out: clean, secure, and completely leak-proof, even during the heavy rain we had. The restaurant was another highlight. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Great portions, tasty dishes, and a relaxed vibe, perfect after a day of exploring. We also did one of the tours offered by the lodge, and it was really well organized. They even provided dry bags for guests who didn’t bring one, which was super helpful. Furthermore, the location was amazing. It is a great spot right by the river. Waking up to the sound of flowing water and birds was something special. All in all, a place where you feel welcome, well taken care of, and surrounded by nature. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at Our Jungle Camp from Friday until Monday and booked their extensive Adventure Package, including most meals and activities such as bamboo cooking, tubing, the elephant experience and an overnight stay at Cheow Lan Lake. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend staying here if you want to properly experience Khao Sok. A special thank you to Karen, one of the general managers, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. She really made us feel welcome and went far beyond what we expected. When our onward transportation was unexpectedly cancelled at the end of our stay, she immediately offered to personally drive us to the bus station. It was such a kind gesture and a great example of the personal service we experienced here. One of the absolute highlights was our overnight trip to Cheow Lan Lake. Our guide, Pete, was one of the best guides I have ever had on any of my jungle trips. He was a young local guide, around 33 years old, but already had an incredible amount of knowledge and experience in the jungle. He had a fantastic eye for wildlife, was funny and easy-going, and genuinely seemed to love what he was doing. During rainy season, Pete managed to find wild elephants for us twice, including impressive bull elephants in the jungle. What we especially appreciated was that he never rushed us. If we found wildlife, he was happy to stay longer, even when it meant going beyond the scheduled tour time. He gave us plenty of time to watch the animals and explained a lot about the jungle and its wildlife. If you have the opportunity, definitely ask for Pete as your guide, his knowledge, ability to spot wildlife and enthusiasm made the lake experience exceptional for us. The location of Our Jungle Camp is another big advantage. It is slightly outside Khao Sok village, but still only around a 10–15 minute walk away. Personally, I think this is much better than staying directly in town. The camp genuinely feels like part of the rainforest, with the river flowing alongside it and monkeys regularly moving around the area. You get the jungle atmosphere while restaurants, shops and bars in the village are still within easy walking distance. The camp itself is beautiful, and the Eco Farm is a great addition. The food was also surprisingly good. The restaurant serves both Thai and Western dishes, and we enjoyed both. You certainly can walk into the village for dinner, but there really isn’t much need to. Especially when it rains, which is obviously part of being in a rainforest, it is great to have a comfortable restaurant and place to relax without leaving the camp. There is one area where I genuinely hope the management will consider making a change: the elephant experience. We would strongly prefer to see Our Jungle Camp partner only with a true ethical sanctuary where elephants have significantly more freedom to roam and where the experience is centred entirely around their natural behaviour and we

We more than enjoyed our stay at Our Jungle Camp. We booked the adventure package and are currently staying on the most serene lake setting surrounded by pure tranquility. While at the jungle camp, we were very impressed by the room. We stayed in the Wild Banana treehouse and loved every minute. The jungle came alive around our room, ranging from monkeys on the balcony to wild geckos paying a visit. All were very friendly. All the staff were absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. In particular, our guide Aek. First, he displayed his wealth of experience during our bamboo cooking class (highly recommend), where he was extremely kind and patient. He carried our food right to our table in the restaurant, which also had a gorgeous menu at great prices. Aek accompanied us on our night safari and it would be appropriate to call him the Thai Bear Grylls. He was incredible - immediately spotting an abundance of wildlife and native animals, while teaching us his ways. Our whole stay was entirely worth the money! Thank you!

Really great location. Nice Bungalow in a lovely jungle garden. The 2 day trip to the lake with an overnight stay in the floating bungalow was fantastic.

Amazing eco resort - Everything was perfect- the location, the local style Houses, food, nature. We love this place and we would like to come back if we would travel to Thailand again. The staff was very friendly, we did also few trips organized with the resort - everything was very good.
