Nico was super accommodating. He let us wheel our bikes straight back into our room so they didn’t have to stay outside. There were snacks and drinks out for us your arrival and he even made parking very simple for us. The garden out back was stocked with wood in the fire pit and a lighter. The location in Georgetown is within walking distance of all sort of shopping and eating destinations. We chose this place randomly only because my husband is called Poppy by our grandchildren. We got very lucky!

Most incredible visit yet our second year or return..we came for FRENCH MARKET DAYS. IT WAS LIKE FIRST TIME BUT EVEN MORE FANTASTIK.. PET FRIENDLY HELL THATS A UNDERSTATEMENT!!! WE WILL RETURN AGAIN NEXT YEAR WILL BE OUR THIRD TIME WERE PLANNING ALREADY !@!

Had a problem with our room the first night which was quickly rectified and the rest of our stay was excellent. The breakfast and eating area was fantastic. Location was great for walking and easy access to downtown museums and memorials.

The property is cute, the contactless check in was terrific, and the location cannot be beat. AVOID ROOM 1 AT ALL COSTS. Love a historic property. The windows might have predated the forming of the Union itself. At one point we thought the windows were open it was so loud on an otherwise normal street. You cannot have a street facing room with single pane windows. The blinds were also non functional. They covered half the windows and let all sorts of light in. Internet was barely functional. No iron, no ironing board. The free spread of drinks and snacks was a nice touch, but would never stay here again if I was stuck in Room 1.

The Poppy was the perfect homebase during our brief trip to DC. The space is incredibly clean, the parlor is adorable, and staff communication was top-notch from booking to checkout. Highly recommend!
