The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong

I booked an executive panoramic room this time. The layout was a bit odd, but its large size made up for it. The room was extremely clean, which was a huge plus. My biggest disappointment this time was the welcome fruit. It felt like the hotel didn't value its guests at all; it was so perfunctory, they might as well not have bothered. I didn't even notice where it was at first, only later finding a tiny container with a few sparse pieces of fruit in an inconspicuous spot. When the executive afternoon tea was brought up, the staff member seemed very busy. He didn't offer any introduction or say anything, just dropped it off and left. I called out to him, hoping for an explanation, but he seemed reluctant, which I found very off-putting. The savory items were good, and the desserts were a little sweet but acceptable. Everything else was fine. The overall check-in experience was good, and the welcome and other services were prompt and efficient. Most of the staff were great, so overall, I still recommend it.

It's been a while since I've been back, and this holiday I wanted to see Shanghai from a different perspective on the Bund. There wasn't really anything special to celebrate, but I casually wrote 'Happy Graduation' :) just wanting to end things on a happy note✨. And then at the Ritz-Carlton, I was absolutely spoiled by Lily and Jessi; they meticulously arranged every little surprise. The night view of Lujiazui, the comfortable room, and great friends—everything came together beautifully to say a proper goodbye to my student days. The hotel experience was consistently excellent in every aspect, definitely my top choice for celebrating important occasions~ I want to give a huge, huge, huge shout-out to Jessi and Lily; they are beautiful, kind little angels with incredibly enthusiastic work attitudes. The hotel should definitely give them a big commendation!

I want to commend the hotel's service; it's truly impeccable. Every staff member at the Ritz-Carlton pays close attention to guests' needs, often anticipating them before you even have to ask. Both the executive lounge and the breakfast were excellent.

My kid found this hotel online and insisted on staying here. I initially thought it was a bit pricey, but I couldn't say no to them, so I reluctantly booked it. However, as soon as we entered the room, we were absolutely stunned by the beautiful view! The Oriental Pearl Tower was right before our eyes, along with blue skies, white clouds, and the Huangpu River! Truly unbeatable! It felt totally worth it. The only thing is that all the drinks in the mini-bar cost extra, so we didn't end up having any. 🤭 I'd suggest the hotel offer complimentary drinks to guests traveling with kids! ✌️

The hotel manager was excellent this time. The Oriental Pearl view room was absolutely stunning. The Oriental Pearl Tower was right outside our window, giving us a feeling of being in the clouds. The view from the bed was also incredibly beautiful, truly amazing to watch the lights come on along the historic Bund. The service from the front desk and concierge staff was superb, especially a young man at the front desk (I forgot to ask his name) who provided exceptional service. This room is definitely worth staying in.

The room was great, and the facilities were excellent. Even with high occupancy, the room and service quality remained consistently good. A big thank you to Doris and Rosy at the front desk for their fantastic service during check-in. I'll definitely be back to stay again.

A luxurious and prestigious hotel with magnificent views, excellent service, and delicious breakfasts!

Super happy with our trip! The room attendant was lovely and even gave us two dolls when we checked out.
