Holiday Inn & Suites CHARLESTON WEST by IHG

Friendly staff. Awesome pool. Great breakfast.

The staff was excellent and we really liked the indoor pool area with some outdoor seating. the little restaurant on site wasn’t bad and there was a few other places to eat within walking distance.thanks

Clean but very dated. Room lacked outlets. Elevator took a while to arrive. Room seemed small because of the oversized furniture. Food was ok, but service at the breakfast was fantastic.

Staff was great. Facilities were leaking - chairs faux leather upholstery was peeling, bathtub faucet was loose and pulling away from the wall. The kitchenette was nice to have but the underside of the couch cushions were covered in dog hair when we went to pull out the sofa bed. I chose the location because of the sunbathing self in the pool so my toddler’s could enjoy the pool - it didn’t disappoint. The rest left lots of room for improvement and though staff was nice and helpful, overall I didn’t feel comfortable during my stay.

We have been staying at this hotel at least twice a year for 8 years. The staff are always welcoming, kind and helpful. My complaint is that new ownership (we were told this by staff) has taken over and the cost of the rooms went up significantly. The cost has outpaced the return and sadly — we will find another place to stay in the future. This is not a reflection on the staff — they are and have always been great.

i booked an accessible room at a this hotel. it was not accessible. the coffee maker/desk area was not cleaned when we got to the room. the toilet barely flushed. our thermostat was locked and we asked multiple times for it to be unlocked or turned down and it was not. couldn’t sleep bc of how hot the room was. called for a room service menu bc room service was advertised. this was an amenity we needed as my husband is blind and that way he would have easy access to order. they said you can come downstairs and order at the restaurant. not as advertised. tv didn’t work. bed hard as a rock. the pool was nice though. bad quality overall for the price.

Fire department showed up to try to bust down the door for an intoxicated woman. Hotel staff was nowhere to be found and people kept the hall noisy late night after the firefighters left

Staff was nice and helpful, location wasn't ideal but nice none the less. Loved their options on bathroom amenities and their pillows were so comfortable! The pool was nice but very humid inside. All around, I give it a 7/10

Pool wasn't available. Reason for getting within our trip. Was an issue before we got there
