The hotel itself is beautiful and very large, and overall the room and property were clean and well maintained. The staff was also friendly during my stay, which I appreciated.
However, there were a couple of things that made me uncomfortable. One was that the coffee and tea were removed promptly at 6 PM even though there were barely any guests at the hotel at the time. I felt the staff could have made a small exception.
My main concern, though, was security. The property is extremely large, and some areas felt completely isolated and deserted. I noticed that several exterior doors appeared to remain open from the outside, which honestly made me feel unsafe. I raised my concern to the front desk and was told that the doors remain open so guests can come back in. In a hotel of this size, I would expect those doors to remain locked from the outside and require a guest key card for entry. I also looked around for security cameras and did not notice many visible security measures. While the hotel is beautiful, that particular situation affected my sense of safety during the stay.
