Banyan Tree Yangshuo

The Mountain Impression King Room we stayed in was very spacious, and the mattress was soft and comfortable. The little stuffed turtle provided during turn-down service was adorable—we loved it! The balcony offered a view of the rolling mountain ranges, filled with picturesque karst landscapes; the scenery was simply breathtaking. The hotel's mountain-climbing activity was an absolute blast. Hiking up to the peak to watch the sunset was incredible; the evening glow was stunning, rivaling the famous classic Chinese painting 'A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains,' and it was well worth it. The resort has a fantastic ecosystem—peacocks and little ducks can be seen everywhere. We could even interact with them up close while dining, which was so much fun. Service at the hotel's Baiyun Restaurant was also top-notch. The dishes were delicious, making for a wonderful dining experience. A special shout-out to our butler, Alice, for her attentive and responsive service. Overall, it was a deeply healing vacation experience. Highly recommend choosing the Banyan Tree when visiting Yangshuo!

The room layout is very comfortable, and the butler was excellent. The breakfast is also plentiful. The hotel keeps peacocks, which are quite charming and delightful. The overall quality and professionalism of the hotel staff are also very good.

Everything met expectations, except the location is far too far from the attractions—around 16-20 km away, which is quite inconvenient. It's fine if you just want to experience the hotel itself, but how can you visit Yangshuo and not go see the sights? 😮‍💨 Personally, I feel the location is too remote. Also, the hot air balloon ride is a must-do in Yangshuo; I went on a Saturday, but surprisingly there wasn't one, and no one informed us either 🙁. However, the interior environment of the hotel is fantastic.

The surroundings are absolutely stunning. The location is a bit secluded, but the trade-off is great peace and quiet, making it the perfect getaway to just relax and unwind. Each room comes with a dedicated one-on-one butler service. Our butler, Alice, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. She went above and beyond during our stay, handling everything seamlessly from booking activities and reserving lunch to organizing our checkout. Highly recommended!

The Banyan Tree was really quite a disappointment to me. The service simply doesn't live up to its price tag and reputation. People always say it's on par with Aman, but based on this experience, it falls far short—it doesn't even match the service quality of those guesthouses in Yangshuo that cost a thousand yuan a night. The surroundings are nice, but there are no particularly standout views. Overall, it was truly mediocre.

Everything was great except for the somewhat remote location. The service was attentive, there were plenty of hotel activities, and the infinity pool was absolutely stunning. The property feels like a massive park with peacocks roaming freely and ponds full of goldfish. All the staff are very well-trained.

The hotel boasts a beautiful environment, with clean, tidy, and spacious rooms. The food is delicious with a wide variety of dishes. There are plenty of activities, making it perfect for family leisure trips.
