What a beautiful oasis close to Sigiriya. Splendid view of the rock from the hotel, especially from the pool and bar area. Our one bedroom villa was huge, luxurious and very well equipped. The gardens are a big part of the hotel and were truly beautiful. Lots of wild life to look for each day. Staff polite, friendly and eager to please. Food excellent. It was a very relaxing place to stay.

We had the most amazing stay at the water garden in august. The scenery was beautifully maintained giving such a sense of tranquility mixed with thoughtful luxury. The open view as you enter the reception area with direct view of the sigiriya rock fortress was one of the highlights. The Chalets were beautiful and designed well with natural vegetation to maintain privacy yet still felt open and connected to the property. The staff were so accommodative to ensure that we were as comfortable as possible. Madhushan was such an attentive dining host and went above and beyond to accommodate our favourite meals. After having mentioned that we were fans of seafood we found all our meals regardless of choice to have a complimentary addition of some personal seafood preparation on the side which were all delicious and paired well with our meal choices. (Dining was an experience on its own too with wild peacocks walking by the dining area in the mornings in search of their own breakfast) Our allocated personal butler shehan spoke perfect English and was always on hand via a private WhatsApp QR code contact (this was great to maintain our mobile number privacy) and had many great recommendations throughout our stay. We had a relaxing evening at the spa which was a perfect accompaniment to our stay and I'd recommend that as a must do. (Enhances the peaceful sense of the property) We appreciated the property manager David meeting us on arrival and the little small talk we had with him made us feel very welcome, he also helped me plan a proposal to my fiancé which was the purpose of my visit, he and his staff maintained perfect secrecy and helped me plan a beautiful evening with great suggestions on locations to dine and finally propose (including video footage prior to my arrival). They decorated both locations beautifully with petals and candles and it was very tastefully done. All things considered it was a very memorable stay for us. We will most certainly be visiting again soon.

Stunning hotel. The design reflects the ancient buildings of Sigiriya. The wetlands are lovely and are drawing magnificent birdlife and the beautifully appointed cottages allow one privacy and the opportunity to enjoy bird and crocodile watching. Loved the elevated bar for drinks while gazing over the pool towards magnificent Sigiriya. Without exception the service was fantastic. We arrived to a complimentary massage and from then on every person; from our butler, to the dining staff and those who did our housekeeping were professional, friendly, efficient and delightful. I felt very fortunate to have been treated to this visit by my brother and it has stayed with me now that I am back in suburban Perth.
