To be completely honest, we almost didn’t book the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur after reading the mixed reviews on trip.com. I am so thoroughly glad we took the chance, because our stay here turned out to be the absolute highlight of our entire holiday!
To celebrate my son's uni graduation and birthday; Our initial plan was to stay at the PARKROYAL for our first five days, head off to Genting Highlands, and then try somewhere completely different for the final leg of our trip. However, after experiencing the genuine luxury, warmth, and exceptional service here, we didn’t even bother to look elsewhere! Before we even left for Genting, we rebooked our final nights back at the PARKROYAL. To top off that experience, the hotel kindly offered to store our large luggage while we were up in Genting, making our side trip completely hassle-free. When we returned, despite having booked the exact same room and Club package, we were delightfully surprised with an upgrade to a much larger room.
The rooms themselves were fantastic: spotless, roomy, and wonderfully cosy. So comfortable, in fact, that some days we found it hard to tear ourselves away to go exploring! Every amenity we could have needed was right at hand. A huge shout-out must go to the housekeeping team, who were remarkably vigilant and kept everything immaculate throughout both stays.
The pool area was another lovely bonus - peaceful, refreshing, and never overly busy whenever we visited.
Without a doubt, the crown jewel of our holiday was the Club Lounge experience, made truly unforgettable by one exceptional staff member: Bicky. Bicky went above and beyond at every single turn to make sure all our needs were met. His infectious enthusiasm, warmth, and welcoming nature made our stay what it was. Every member of staff we encountered was attentive and friendly, but Bicky’s hospitality was in a league of its own.
Breakfast each morning was outstanding. Having Club access meant we could choose between the vast buffet downstairs or a quieter breakfast in the Club Lounge. We mixed it up and thoroughly enjoyed both! While the downstairs restaurant can get a little lively on the weekends, the food was consistently fresh, high quality, and delicious. We were particularly impressed by the extensive range of options for vegetarians and those with dietary allergies, with every dish clearly labelled and staff in both dining spaces being remarkably accommodating.
If you are planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur, do not let outdated or negative reviews deter you. The PARKROYAL COLLECTION exceeded every expectation we had. We couldn’t recommend it more highly, an unforgettable experience and simply cannot wait to return!
