Lijiang Pushang Hotel

The Waterfall Hotel (now an independent hotel located in a high-rise section) used to be part of the Waterfall Resort. I chose room 1503, which faces the Sun and Moon Pagodas and Elephant Trunk Hill, offering unparalleled views of both Inner Lake and the Li River. The location is truly unbeatable – just cross the road to reach these two attractions, and Zheng Yang Pedestrian Street is right outside the lobby to the left. The entrance to Elephant Trunk Hill is diagonally across the street. The room's view is absolutely incredible; you can lie in bed and see two of Guilin's most iconic landmarks. The room facilities are decent, including welcome fruits and turn-down service. The front desk staff will guide you to elevator 2, which has a touchscreen for floor selection. My only minor complaint about the room is the mattress, which I found a bit too soft. Breakfast is served on the 15th floor; the selection isn't vast, and the space is quite small. Overall, it felt like staying in a room with executive lounge benefits. There's a bar and restaurant on the 16th floor with a satisfying view and ambiance, though the prices are on the higher side. They serve Western cuisine.

Extremely close to the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area. The room was spacious with great views. This is easily the best hotel in the vicinity, perfect for families, and even comes with a karaoke system! Our whole family was thoroughly impressed!

The hotel's location is great, the staff are enthusiastic, and the views from upstairs are perfect for photos.

This place is worth every penny! The slippers were fantastic, I even took them home. From my room, I had a full view of Elephant Trunk Hill and the Sun and Moon Pagodas. Right across the street were the Sun and Moon Pagodas and the pier; it was only about 200 meters from where I disembarked to the hotel. The pedestrian street was also right outside. Service: You deserve it.

The views are fantastic! Breakfast is only for guests staying on the upper floors, so it's not crowded and you can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. The quality is quite good too. The gym has both dry and wet saunas, which is a big plus. The only downside is that the living room is close to the elevator, so there's some noise.

The Waterfall Hotel and the Great Waterfall Hotel are actually two different-starred hotels within the same building, each with its own lobby. If your budget allows, I highly recommend staying at the 'Waterfall Hotel'. The rooms are all newly renovated and designed, spacious, and equipped with all modern amenities. They feature expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, offering breathtaking views of the Li River, Elephant Trunk Hill, Sun and Moon Pagodas, and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes. The rooftop also boasts an open-air bar and a lounge area, providing 360-degree panoramic views of Guilin city and the surrounding karst landscapes! The location is superb. A left turn from the hotel takes you directly to Zheng Yang Pedestrian Street, and continuing further leads to East and West Alley and Jingjiang Prince City. Cross the road from the hotel to reach Gate 3 of Elephant Trunk Hill, and a right turn will bring you to a variety of local restaurants. The boat docks for the Two Rivers and Four Lakes are also within walking distance – it couldn't be more convenient! The check-in amenity was a large welcome fruit platter and fresh flowers. During our stay, we also received coffee vouchers for the rooftop bar. Before checking out, we could claim a complimentary non-heritage souvenir, which was a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast restaurant is on the second-highest floor. The breakfast selection was quite comprehensive, but the rice noodle station was slow. When we arrived, many buffet dishes and drinks were gone and took a long time to be refilled, which wasn't as prompt as the room service. Every evening from 8:00 PM to 8:15 PM, there's a spectacular waterfall and music show behind the hotel, which was truly amazing! 🤩

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The room is spacious, the outdoor view is lovely, and the service is excellent. It's very close to scenic spots, with a pedestrian street right downstairs. You can even see Elephant Trunk Hill clearly from here. The handmade crafts are also unique.
