JW Marriott Hotel Chongqing

As a Marriott member, the welcome benefits were substantial. They proactively and thoughtfully upgraded my room, and the welcome amenity included local Chongqing snacks. The room linens were soft and comfortable, housekeeping was prompt and thorough, and all my requests were quickly addressed. This established luxury hotel truly has a deep legacy, offering reliable and steady service. I've stayed here multiple times and am always very satisfied.

This is one of Marriott's higher-end brands, but the facilities are a bit old. The room size isn't huge, but it's clean and tidy, and the bedding and bathroom amenities are quite good. The executive lounge on the 28th floor offers nice views of the mountain city at night, and the food and drinks there are decent, nothing special but not bad. A nice touch is that the TV welcome message displays the guest's name, which shows a genuine welcome. Overall, it's not particularly outstanding, but there are no major flaws either.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and Chaotianmen, with plenty of great food options nearby. However, the hotel's decor and facilities are a bit dated.

After watching 'Sweet Talk,' I decided to stay on the Executive Floor. Of course, TV shows are just TV shows; I didn't encounter an Executive Lounge manager like Xu Miyu at the JW Marriott Chongqing. However, choosing the Executive Floor was definitely the right decision. It was very convenient to enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening offerings at the 28th-floor Executive Lounge. Gloria from the Executive Lounge was also very welcoming and even checked in on my satisfaction after I had checked out. The coffee capsules and tea bags in the room were also generously stocked. The hotel's location is very convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby.

This hotel was the best one we stayed at during our trip back to China. Angelina at the front desk was absolutely amazing! 👍👍 She was so attentive and patiently answered all our questions. She even upgraded our room when we asked. The hotel food was also super good, and the facilities were complete, clean, and beautiful. Overall, we were extremely satisfied. Even the staff outside the lobby were incredibly warm and funny. My husband, who was visiting Chongqing for the first time, absolutely loved this hotel. Plus, its location near Jiefangbei is fantastic. We'll definitely come back here on our next trip to China. Highly recommend! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

The hotel's location is great, quite close to Jiefangbei, and there are many snack shops right outside, making it very convenient for dining. The hotel service is also very good. The facilities are a bit old, but still perfectly functional.

This hotel is really close to Jiefangbei – just a short walk away. However, the bathrobes in our room were mismatched; one was soft and plush, while the other felt like a regular towel. The mini-fridge only had one can of beer, which was a bit odd, and they didn't restock any drinks the next day. On the bright side, the housekeeping staff were very friendly, and the Chinese food at the hotel restaurant was delicious. One thing that stood out, though, was an elevator decorated with ice cream motifs that had a strong, unpleasant paint smell.
