HOTEL GRAND CIEL HANAMAKI

The location is very convenient, less than a 5-minute walk to Hanamaki Station. The exterior looks a bit old, but the rooms are very clean, and the view from outside is quite nice in winter. The reception staff in the lobby are very friendly, and there's a public hot spring bath available. There weren't many guests on a weekday, so the stay was quite comfortable. Personally, I think it's actually much better than the ratings on Google.

The large public bath, Pokupoku no Yu, was excellent. Both the changing room and the bath itself were new and clean, and it wasn't crowded, making it very comfortable. It was perfect for warming up after skiing. The carpet in the hotel corridors and the elevator leading to the bathhouse were decorated with silhouettes of Kenji Miyazawa, which was very charming. The toilet paper in the room was a bit rough; I would like to request a change to a softer type.

The large public bath was great, and it even had a sauna. You pick up your loungewear at the front desk.

Located near Hanamaki Station, it's convenient for sightseeing and business. It's not a new building, but the front desk, lobby, and rooms were all clean. Breakfast was a buffet, and was more than adequate with a variety of Japanese and Western side dishes, fruit, and sweets.

It was conveniently located in front of Hanamaki Station and had good access from the station. The hotel front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and not at all intimidating. The room was spacious and there was plenty of space to open up my suitcase, which was nice. The amenities were the bare minimum. The front desk sold a pack of basic cosmetics for 300 yen. There was a multi-storey car park across the street and guests were given a free ticket. There was a large artificial hot spring sauna in the basement, which was very new, clean and comfortable. I had no idea there was a large bath where I could stretch my legs and relax in the bath, so it was a nice surprise. The restaurant was quite good. Iwate brand rice, Iwaizumi yogurt, and Platinum Pork Curry were generously prepared, and everything was delicious. There was also an exhibition corner that collected materials about Miyazawa Kenji. After checking out, I had lunch at the breakfast restaurant. I had a very delicious Maezawa beef steak in a spacious restaurant. The seasoning was exquisite and really delicious, I was very satisfied.

This hotel is located close to Hanamaki Station, which is associated with Miyazawa Kenji, and the entrance is on the opposite side from the station. We stayed in both a single and a twin room, and the single room was spacious enough, while the twin room was spacious enough for three adults. The lock had to be turned and pushed open, and the unit bath had a large step, so it felt old in places, but it seems to be renovated and maintained as necessary, and the overall atmosphere was very good and clean, so we were able to stay comfortably from start to finish. We used the breakfast buffet two days in a row, and I was impressed that the menu changed little by little. The ingredients lined up were also made with a commitment to local ingredients and good quality, and I was impressed with everything I ate. The high-end Iwaizumi yogurt that Shohei Otani has also eaten, the sausages must be good local products, and the milk is sweet and definitely expensive! You can feel this with every bite, and I definitely recommend trying the breakfast here. As they are committed to their wonderful commitment to food, the only amenities in the room were toothbrushes and bottled water. I thought it would be nice to have at least instant coffee or tea, but I can understand why it must be so difficult to run such a large hotel in Hanamaki. I would like to stay in the Galaxy Express and Wildcat concept room next time. Thank you very much♫
