Absolutely excellent hotel with an even more amazing restaurant that is featured on the Michelin Guide. Briones is a lovely, quaint town that is extremely convenient to explore the rioja region from. It is close by to big modern wineries like Vivanco as well as mid-sized ones like Lecea that are steeped in history and heritage. Staff were also very attentive and helpful, making our stay very pleasant.

Except for the high price, there is nothing to complain about. There was no breakfast buffet, it was served only after ordering, and the glasses used were wine glasses. As a Michelin restaurant, using the wrong glasses is not professional enough.

From someone who travels to Europe multiple times a year, this has been my favorite stay so far. I would stay here every time I return to Rioja. The hotel is stunning. The room was cozy and elegant. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. Never heard noise from other guests. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is lovely and delicious. My husband and I normally don't eat breakfast but after seeing the spread, we had to try it and it was phenomenal. It was like having a little breakfast pintxos crawl right at our hotel. The town is very quaint and beautiful so we took a stroll everyday. Briones was the perfect location in between Haro and Logroño and Santa Maria Briones was an absolute gem. Can't recommend this place enough!

Try this place! Wonderful buffet and you can order eggs if you want. The reception staff is great and they can give you great suggestions in the region. The restaurant Allegar is wonderful!

Best kept secret in Briones We had a wonderful experience. Cozy , beautiful, great culinary experience everything from the check in to the check out was perfect. The employees, the staff and the owners all treated us exceptionally. Will definitely go back ❤️

It was an excellent stop over in La Rioja. The town itself is incredibly gorgeous and charming. Note if you're there during a weekday, it's dead but that's anywhere in the countryside in Spain. We were there on a Tuesday and it was empty but that made even more magical. Great hotel and service.
