Baranof Lodge

Very thankful though hotel allowed me to store fish in their walk-in freezer. Thank you Stayed in room 109. The toilet is partially detached from the floor. Would tip when you sat on it.

Location is excellent, great coffee across street that opens at 4 am. Beds were good, bathroom dirty. Will book again because of ease.

Pretty plain run of the mill room. Staff was very helpful in directing us to places to eat and see the next day. Even suggested we contact Frank from the list of taxi options that was suburb! Frank is a gem! Centrally located, which made it a good choice!

This is an older facility but maintained well. We were allowed to check in early due to a no show situation in our room the previous night. We were leaving a fishing lodge earlier than the 3:00 PM check in time. The clerk also offered to keep our luggage until the room was available. There is no elevator and we had heavy luggage. The clerk offered to help get it up the stairs, but we declined. The mattresses were in good condition and comfortable. This hotel is very close to shops and restaurants and there are food trucks right beside the facility. The room rates are high in my opinion, but this is Alaska and all the room rates at every hotel are high. There are multiple hotels in Sitka and I personally would check out them out on a returning trip mainly to the lack of an elevator.

Couldn’t connect with the airport shuttle on the way in, but the office staff went out of their way to make sure we were able to get a taxi to the docks on a busy busy cruise in port day.

Hotel was accommodating to storing our luggage, welcoming staff and great location and in town.

Room was clean and check in was fine. No coffee or cups in the room. Hot cold switched in bathroom sink and the tub filled with water while showering. Seems to be going backwards as I’ve stayed here multiple times. The ******* site says all fees covered in the price, that is not the case. Was charged a fee on check in. Had to add a night on top of the 4 days I was there and was charged 70.00 over the ******* price… hope the new owners get it together.
