Lin‘s mansion

After 12 years, I returned to Gulangyu and was very satisfied with my stay at Lin's Residence. They kindly upgraded our room and provided children's toiletries. The moment I entered the room and saw the garden and fountain, my mood instantly brightened! The century-old architecture has beautiful details, and the courtyard has soft lighting. They offer a qipao portrait session, which turned out great, and we ended up selecting many extra photos – it’s perfect for taking pictures. The room was clean, and the service was excellent, especially the butler who handled our luggage – he was outstanding. The breakfast was also delicious, especially the 'bianshi' (wonton-like dumplings)! We quietly enjoyed the slow-paced island life for these three days, which was incredibly comfortable. A perfect vacation.

I booked this for my grandpa and two college-aged cousins, and they were all very happy with how spacious and comfortable it was. The room even had an older CD player and stereo system for playing music. When they came back after dinner, they were pleasantly surprised by the sound of waves, and the room's scent was also very pleasing and memorable.

The hotel is wonderful! All the facilities truly reflect the owner's elegant taste and their passion for life and pursuit of ultimate quality. Staying here definitely enhanced my Gulangyu trip!

Revisiting Gulangyu after a decade, I chose to stay at the Lin Mansion Hotel again, and I absolutely loved it. Every detail is meticulously crafted, making it perfect for those who appreciate nostalgia and want to experience this century-old building. Wandering through the corridors, courtyards, and the paths outside the walls, you can still feel the essence of the house's original owners.

This is the best service I've ever experienced! From the staff who picked us up and explained everything along the way, to the front desk, and even the restaurant, the entire experience was truly comfortable! Service is the most important thing to us, even more so than aesthetics! The century-old Lin family reputation is well-deserved! Charming! The hardware details stand up to close inspection! When it rained, we had no choice but to dine at the hotel, and the food was delicious with fresh ingredients. We also got a discount for staying at the hotel. The scallion oil rice was so good! The staff were so thoughtful; they saw us picking out the scallions from the bowl because our child doesn't eat them and immediately brought us a fresh plate. Such warm service!!! I love hotels that genuinely prioritize service. They will only get better in the future, and their established reputation will spread further and further over time.

The service was exceptional! I traveled with friends, and the hotel's ambiance was absolutely stunning with incredible aesthetics. The breakfast was also quite good and unique. I'll definitely come back next time!

This hotel is absolutely worth experiencing! It has a wonderfully serene atmosphere, perfect for a slow-paced, relaxing vacation. The luggage transfer service was a huge help on the island, and I really appreciated how the butler explained the history and stories behind the protected heritage buildings along the way. I have to highlight the hotel's breakfast – it's the best I've ever had among all the places I've stayed! Not only does it offer local specialties, but the taste is also superb. Plus, the hotel restaurant is fantastic – delicious food, not expensive, and no long waits!

Very satisfied and comfortable, it was so quiet I slept really well. The environment is super nice, and it's a great spot for taking photos. The hotel staff were very helpful with luggage transfer, they worked quite hard.
