I've always wanted to take my mom to Disneyland, and this year happened to be Shanghai Disneyland's 10th anniversary. Plus, I had some business to attend to in Shanghai for the past two months, so I booked the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel to celebrate my mom's birthday. I booked an Executive Room, and upon arrival, we went straight to the 7th-floor lounge for check-in. The next day was my mom's birthday, and the front desk lady gave her a birthday pin and sticker as a small gift. Although the gift wasn't expensive, my mom was very happy and carefully put it away. Oh, and the short-haired female employee in the lounge, I only remember her last name is Zhang, had an excellent attitude. She explained everything in great detail and patiently assisted with an elderly person's needs. If the hotel sees this review, please commend this young lady. The breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening light meals for the Executive Room are served in the King's Club. I think the food is good, not like some people say there's nothing to eat. They have both Chinese and Western options, and the dishes are all well-prepared. Especially the cheese, smoked salmon, and cold cuts of ham, which are fresher than the offerings in many international chain hotels' lounges. The Chinese cold dishes like sweet and sour pork ribs, drunken shrimp, and drunken pork belly were all delicious. For the evening light meal, there's freshly made pasta with three sauce options; I prefer the white sauce. The room has a very standard layout. The Executive Room's twin bed size is the same as non-executive rooms; it just comes with executive benefits. When we arrived, there was still one room available with a garden view. Although it wasn't a perfect spot, my mom and I thought it was perfectly fine; there's no need to be so picky. You can't always get the best of everything. What I was most satisfied with in the room, for a 10-year-old hotel, was that the air conditioning was not noisy. This is very important to me because I don't sleep well, and many hotel air conditioners are very loud, but I'm also very afraid of the heat and can't go without AC. Some old hotels have terrible AC, but I'm very satisfied with the one at Disneyland. You can barely hear any sound. Overall, I'm very satisfied, and the price wasn't expensive for the summer holiday period. I've already decided to come back for my dad's birthday next year.

Who would've thought of such a magical design where touching Mickey on the headboard makes him light up? This stay with my child at the Disneyland Hotel has truly won me over! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, I was captivated by the elegant, luxurious, and comfortable American-style design – giant fresh floral arrangements and vintage wooden furniture, every snap looked like it was straight out of a magazine. My top three delightful surprises were: 1. Every detail in the room hides a fairytale surprise! That light-up Mickey headboard gave my 12-year-old an unexpected and amazing experience, the emotional value alone was worth it! 2. Disneyland Hotel offers a ferry service to and from the park, a lifesaver for tired feet! If you get tired in the afternoon, you can head back to the hotel to rest, with ferries every 20 minutes, it's super convenient. Then you can go back to the park in the evening without any stress. 3. Every staff member is like a walking Disney map, even the cleaning staff can accurately help with directions. My tried and tested magical tips: Go for check-in at 8 AM sharp! If you don't specify a floor, I found you can get your room key and check in early. The combo of a half-day ticket on the first day and an early entry pass for the second day is a great deal: enter the park at 3 PM to scout things out, and then during the evening fireworks, you can ride attractions without any queues. Bring an empty water bottle! There's a water dispenser on every floor of the hotel, and it's super convenient to refill with drinking water in the park. The only downside... probably feeling a bit reluctant to check out and wanting to stay longer 😂

The Donald Duck themed celebration room at the Disneyland Hotel is cozy and fun, perfect for families. The room offers a wide, open view overlooking a tranquil lake. During the day, sunlight streams through the windows, making the room bright and comfortable. Here, you can enjoy the lake view and a leisurely time, feeling the unique joy and thoughtful touches of Disney, whether you're engaging in family activities or simply relaxing.

It's pretty good, very suitable for families visiting theme parks, mainly for its convenience. The service is also quite good; if anything was missing from the room, it was delivered quickly. The cleaning supplies, appliances, and drinks were all satisfactory. You can set off fireworks from the bed, which my child loved.

Every year we visit Shanghai Disneyland, and the Disney Hotel always manages to surprise us! Since we're repeat guests, we received a special gift when checking in. They even gave us a room with a direct view of the castle, which made my daughter incredibly happy. She just turned ten this year, and Shanghai Disneyland has truly been a part of her entire childhood!

The value for money isn't great; there's no need to stay here. Toy Story Hotel is also good. Breakfast is definitely not worth the price, unlike what you'd expect for 400+. If you're not a big Mickey Mouse fan, you might want to skip this place.

My elderly parents and I often vacation at various hotels in Shanghai. We usually opt for hotels around 1,000 RMB, aiming to give them a special experience. This time, for the first time, I booked the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, which cost over 3,000 RMB per night. We got two rooms, totaling 7,000 RMB. The result was a huge disappointment. Upon arrival, the lobby was noisy and chaotic, and check-in was incredibly slow. Even though we had pre-registered our information on the app, it still took nearly an hour to complete. We booked a Deluxe Lake View Room and a Deluxe Garden Room, but both turned out to be falsely advertised and terrible. One overlooked a messy construction site, and the 'Lake View Room' was actually what they called a 'Park View Room.' It took another hour of negotiations to switch rooms, by which point we were already exhausted. Just now, I saw on TV that Shanghai's major ferries only stopped service this afternoon. Yet, the Wishing Star Lake ferry, exclusive to Disneyland Hotel guests, had already stopped yesterday afternoon. How can a ferry on an artificial lake close earlier than those on the Huangpu River, especially when the weather was perfectly calm at the time? The 9:15 PM fireworks show was also suspended around 9:00 PM. While I understand the importance of safety, typhoon warnings had been issued a week in advance. Why didn't the hotel send out warnings to guests with reservations? Are they only interested in making money, leaving guests to bear all the responsibility? Is a company that earns so much profit every year really okay with this? We frequently stay in hotels and understand the challenges of the service industry. This is my first time giving a hotel a bad review, and it's purely out of sheer frustration. There are many negative reviews of the Disneyland Hotel on various websites, and I truly regret not checking them earlier. At breakfast, I noticed the restaurant wasn't crowded, and the atmosphere during interactions was quite bland. The hotel's attitude is arrogant due to its monopolistic position, but at the very least, it ensures I will never consider returning. Just look at the hotel's sofas and chairs in the photos, and the dirty carpet – this is the standard of facilities in a 'deluxe room' at the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.

While the service was exceptionally good, the facilities are definitely dated. Out of all the hotels I've stayed in, this is the first time I've had to shower standing in a bathtub. The air conditioning couldn't be adjusted, and the blanket looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages, which unfortunately led to my child breaking out in a rash, requiring an emergency trip to the hospital!

My child had a fantastic time! The park is huge, beautiful, and feels straight out of a fairy tale, perfect for photos. Although the decor is a bit dated, the room facilities are complete and comfortable. They gave out a lot of gifts for their 10th anniversary, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied!
