Monti Palace Hotel

Excellent hotel located just a stone's throw from the Colosseum. The staff were very kind and incredibly helpful. Great breakfast and a beautiful, very clean room.

The breakfast was delicious! It was wonderful to enjoy breakfast on the rooftop terrace, feeling the breeze and watching Rome wake up. Although the room was a bit small, it was quite clean, and the service was excellent.

Facilities: The toilet creaked when I sat on it, and the curtains wouldn't close. 😑 The shower stall was also very narrow, and I bumped my elbows several times while showering. Environment: The soundproofing was also poor. Facing the street, the noise of cars was noticeable at night. The only positive point was that it was close to the Colosseum. Cleanliness: Although I only had hard water in Italy, it was still unacceptable. The shower felt slippery and not completely clean. The water in the cup was cloudy, with bubbles and white particles floating in it. Services: Luggage storage was available, but other services were lacking. The price for the three of us, including the city fee, was RMB 4,000 per night, but one of my friends couldn't stand the noise and moved to another hotel. Overall, it was really not good.

I chose this hotel as I was staying in Rome for one night as a stopover. Traveling alone was a bit worrying, but the front desk staff were very helpful and explained everything to me. The Colosseum was also easily reached in about 10 minutes on foot. I arrived at the hotel in the evening and visited the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. The Trevi Fountain was a bit far, but if you walk along well-lit streets, there are plenty of tourists, so it's not a problem. The only downside is that the water in the room costs extra, which is more expensive than buying it at a mini-market. There's a mini-market a short walk away, so it's a good idea to buy your water there, and there are similar stores near the tourist spots, so it shouldn't be a problem.

The location is incredibly convenient, right next to the Cavour metro station, one stop from Termini train station, and one stop from the Colosseum – easy access to everywhere. 🥣 While the food selection isn't huge, the kids ate a ton of it, so I highly recommend staying here!
